Bio: Lily is one of the twin daughters of Arkham security guards Lina and David Miller. The other being her sister Emma. Growing up the twins were extremely close, though their tastes and attitudes different they stuck together no matter what. Once they entered High school things started to change, they befriended a girl named Alice Fisher. The three started hanging out and tended to act like triplets. Emma was always the logical one, Lily the emotional one and Alice the ethical one. It was all fun and games, they even used to joke around and called each other Ethos (ethics), Pathos (emotion) and Logos (logic) after the greek means of persuasion in literature.
But as High school started to come to an end the twins bonds started to sever, Emma started focusing herself on computer sciences and furthering her knowledge, and Lily started focusing on getting into Gotham U on a music scholarship. Alice, meanwhile, had settled in with an abusive boyfriend named Jonathon. Things were at their breaking point when the threesome graduated high school at top honors. It seemed like all of them had great things in store for themselves in the future.
Emma had already been accepted in for a summer courses in psychology and sciences at Gotham U for a thesis she wrote on the rogues of Arkham, and a science project she'd won awards on. Lily was planning on attending that fall to study under her classical music idol, and Alice was going to Gotham U to study art and early american literature. Everything seemed in place until that one afternoon. The three girls had just gotten off of work and were heading back to the Miller's for something to eat before their parents got off of work and took the trio to a Human Mind exhibit at the museum downtown. Lily and Emma's parents had been recently promoted into the special crimes unit at the GCPD because they had stopped a massive escape attempt by the Joker and Harley Quinn earlier that week. Waiting for a while the girls entertained themselves by watching movies until the Miller's got home. Hours passed and the twins started to worry, until that fateful phone call shook the very foundation that the twins had so relied on their entire lives. Their parents had been killed trying to bust Two-Face on a drug run.
The strains on the twins soon broke, and everything in their lives started to flip.
Lily moved in with their aunt until she was old enough to live on her own, Emma emacipated herself and entered the summer programs as planned at the age of 17. The only time she went to visit her sister was when their aunt was killed. Sick and tired of being treated like crud by the Gotham underworld, Lily started training herself and eventually debuted as Pathos. Returning home from college that August, Emma quickly caught onto her sister's antics and demanded to be able to help. Training for a few months, the twins debuted together as Pathos and Logos.
Alice however had enough of Jonathon's crap and tried leaving after being savagely beaten and left for dead in an alleyway where Jervis Tetch had found her. She quickly fell for him and the two became inseparable. Relations between the twins and Alice went down the drain when Alice was convinced for the longest time that Pathos and Logos had killed her beloved. Seeking revenge, Alice blamed both of the twins and sought to kill them.
Fighting constantly, eventually the twins met Batman (Bruce Wayne) and Robin (Tim Drake). They trained properly and became part of the Bat-family.
