Ignis Daimon is a demon of soul collecting and will stop at nothing in order to claim his prize. When a soul begins to reach its death, Ignis appears and takes it to the underworld to burn it. His powerful owner; a phoenix in human form; informs him on which soul is next to collect. Only one soul has escaped his grasp and he was severly punished for his failure. Other demons have tried to put Ignis to his grave, but have never been sucessful. An evil soul rests inside the body of Ignis and if it should awaken, all hope for the human world's survival would be lost in a ball of fire.
