Friendship is more than knowing everything about someone. It's more than sticking with a person through thick and thin. It's about knowing without being told. Understanding without having to ask. Pushing when left with no choice, and not taking no for an answer. It's about give and take. One person can't always be the giver or the taker. It has to be a relationship of equals.

Love is not just between family or lovers. It can be romantic or platonic. It can be of great passion or of quiet stillness. Love can be shown in persistence, whether it be in trying to get beneath the barriers, or in trying to push the other away. It is both the most fragile, and yet the strongest of all emotions.

I am a person to whom friendship and love are the most important things in my life. My family is the foundation upon which I stand. My friends are what help me to grow. I have been burned many times over the years. But in my closest friends I found strength. I stand strong alone, with my parents and my brother behind me. I love them, and I love my friends, whether they believe it or not. Whether they accept it or not. I may choose to let them take the steps needed, but I have given my entire being. Invested my whole soul in that love, and it is time now for me to step back. Sometimes all you can do it let them go...And if they come back to you, then you know it's true and real. If they don't, then you never really had them to begin with.
