They are great soldiers, capable to handle all kinds of armor. They are known as people of the forest. Their long hands, feet, sculptural body, elegant and their long silver-plated hair, but everything else that their ears are simulated just like the rabbits that they difference from the rest of the habitants of Ivalice. Their hope of life it is told to be three times more mayor than the humans do.

They are tow kinds of Viera, the Veena Viera that possesses the white color skin and Rava Viera with brown color skin. They are not so different from the humans; also they have a vision and superior ears. They can watch an object from 10 kilometers of distance and distinguishes their path.

Some centuries ago, the Viera lived in communes within the forests and they were not seeing so much in the human society. But because of the war, they lost their homes and they were forced to live in the human society. Both subtypes of the race of Viera, Rava and Veena were integrated in the human society.

Nevertheless, the Veena Vieras wanted to conserve their values and culture, and they return back to the small forests that they left. Although the Viera is living at the moment with the humans, seems to be that there are differences between the new cultures and old cultures. Viera is mainly females but it seems also that exist Viera males too.
