What do you mean by too late? I usually search through the market place item and try them on. That's how I find interesting items besides watching the announcements for monthly collctibles and evolving items.

You should make a list. Just because the items aren't attainable at the moment doesn't man you can't set yourself up with goals. I figure out what I want to wear well in advance of when I change my outfit. I always figure out how much money I need and how to get it. It's called questing.... You could even quest in the special quest forums to get people to donate money for your cause
But your spot is always so comfy! Besides, there's penty more space on the bed. You can take up THAT space instead
