JOURNAL RESEARCH LOG #2
there once was a great detective known as L. it seemed there was no case he couldn't crack. his genuis was so devine and so envied. in the beginning, there was an attempt to make clones of him even. in case his life was ever taken. these clones were forced to mimic his actions and habits, and to try and learn how to think the way he does. the first one, known as A, committed suicide from all the stress. the second one, B...became a serial killer who fed on flesh. and no one knows how, but he was born with the eyes of a death god. L managed to capture him before he could set himself on fire, and payed for all of his hospital bills. later on, B died in prison from a heart attack, believed to be the punishment of kira. years later, L too, lost to kira. now the justice system is in mourning over the loss of their greatest soldier. not many personally knew L or could feel a sympathetic loss or connection, but the loss of his great knowledge and presence, surely had left an impact.
that is where dr. ambrose came in. he had been one of the original scientists back in the L clone projects of A and B. he was one of the few who had had the pleasure in meeting the legendary detective, and he had also developed a secret and very unhealthy obsession with him. after L's death, he went a bit crazy and decided he would reincarnate L, or at least would not stop until he could create an exact perfect replica. dr. ambrose was obsessed with alchemy and numerology, and tried to incorporate them into his work.
i was a testtube baby. at first i seemed perfectly fitting to dr. ambrose. i looked and acted exactly like L. but then, this other half of me began to surface. a darker, more sinister side. this frightened dr. amrbose and reminded him of B. so that is where i got my name: E. because in hebrew numerology, L = 3 and B =2. add them together and you get 5, which equals E. he named me ever eternal but i never understood it until later on. you see, once i turned 21, i stopped aging. but dr. ambrose wasn't around long enough to find that out. i suppose he had known it would happen all along. why 21? well...add 2 1 together and you get 3 which brings you back to L again, the original adaptation i was supposed to be created after. i guess that's just one twisted way blending numerology and alchemy together works.
at age 14, i killed dr. ambrose. he did something that triggered my most darkest demon inside of me to come out and i snapped. i swear it is the only time i've ever gone this far. i painted the walls with his blood, bathed in it and even drank it. i devoured certain body parts. the rest i stripped the flesh from and kept the bones. shortly after that, near, the successor of L died conveniantly from illness. that's when i moved in, and i became the new L. i am basically a combination of both L and B. think of it as two personalities sharing the same body. some see the good side of me: the side which believes in justice and indulges in sweets, and is kind for the most part to people; the side they call L. then there is the dark side they call B: the antisocial sociopath that enjoys dismembering people and drinking their blood and feasting upon their flesh.
at least it is obvious to tell the personalities apart. when i am more like L, my eyes are black. when i am more like B, my eyes are red. i represent both good and evil, and am forever lost in eternal battle with myself.
**a few contrasts**
L: is more capable of speaking his mind, carefully calculates everything with reason, enjoys playing chess and eating sweets.
B: is more reserved but more sexually preverse, is obsessed with occult movies, blood, eating flesh and strawberry jam.
L's reaction to being touched: he feels akward and usually freezes and tenses up, unsure of what to do or how to react.
B's reaction to being touched: will jump altertedly on contact and run away quickly. HOWEVER, he sometimes likes to touch others. he just doesn't like being the one being touched. he'd rather do the touching.
L: bites his thumb
B: bites others
E's quirks: collects rabbit stuffies and likes to bite lower lip.
i sit like L most of the time but i also like to sit indian style alot too. also, since i was created by alchemy i came out sort of incomplete you might say. you see, though i appear male and the upper part of my body is indeed male, my lower half has no genitals. i don't understand intimacy or the need of touch, the only thing i do understand is pain. physical pain. so i guess it's possible one might consider me a masochist...?
YOU BELONG TO TEAM B! as in beyond birthday from another note! you don't really fit into either L or kira's category. you are your own unique individual with your own twisted goals set in mind. once you strive for something...there is no going back! and you like to be the best and on top. you are most likely very obsessive compulsive and have a strange obsession with strawberry jam. o.0; you're a bit on the odd side to say the least...
