Behind the Shoe
Uh, yeah . . . hey. This is Dark Shoe here . . . well, sort of.You could say I'm the one who speaks through him. At any rate, I'm him, but I'm also not, and he's me, but he's also not. Or something like that.
. . . Huh, you want to know about me? Well . . . well I'm not really the one you want to know about, right? You want to know about Dark Shoe, don't you? To be honest I don't know much about him m'self . . . well I guess I can make something up.
Dark Shoe is . . . uh . . . well he has a fang-tusk-thing and pink hair, so I guess he's not human. Probably a demon, or something, I don't know. Either way he doesn't know much about the human world. That's where he got his name, okay? It's a mistranslation. He doesn't know much about human languages, or something.
The name was a joke, you see, because if you translate "God" from Korean to English on Babelfish, it becomes "shoe." It's probably only natural that something would get lost in translation from his native language to mine, too. Mostly I just call him YaKu, which seems to keep him happy (Ya-Ku being an abbreviation of Yami and Kutsu, Dark and Shoe in Japanese, respectively. Ironically "yaku" can also mean misfortune or bad luck. I think it fits him)
Anyway, what else can I say about him . . . the funny name, the non-human-ness . . . I guess since we're both the same person and not, you could say we like the same things, or something. I guess there's not much else. This is kind of long already, anyway.

I think of myself as only myself, and those that I create or...I suppose I could say those I "meet" in my mind along the way, who are not entirely me, cannot possibly be me; but at the same time are extensions of myself. Or something like that. I suppose you could call it "eccentric."
At any rate, good night, get some sleep.
And my character, the name, how he acts, what he says, it's all me... Him and I, we're one in the same, since he is actually one of the many personalities I often switch over to if overly stressed or off my meds... Schizophrenia is not a pretty thing.
But your character is creative, which is what's funny about it. I like it...
Yeah, I thought that up the first day I joined...err..."we" joined, I suppose. Yaku is so different from me, it feels weird to just think of myself as him and vice-versa. Or something.
