About

SHORT VERSION: 1. I can see, and I enjoy reading. 2. I'm a little nerdy 3. I'm a gamer. 4. I'm a less than average teenage girl. 5. I am proud of who I am. Deal with it.

LONG VERSION:
You say I read too much? WHAT?! No, absolutely not, that would be preposterous! Not only have you stated that I read too much, you have failed to explain what "reading too much" even entails. How do you read "too much"? Do you read until your eyes burn out or something? Well I'll be hornswoggled! As you can see, (or can't see...), my eyes are still finely placed in my noggin; I don't even need glasses, and to be typing this blind I would have to be far more talented than I am, (and I am talented! {Just kidding, I'm not that vain...}). You silly person, coming up with something so ridiculous and impossible that... well, now I think about it, I kind of like of you? You even came all this way (one click...) to find out more about me, how nice. Have a seat, (if you aren't already sitting, and to that I wonder how awkwardly you must be standing, or crouching, or kneeling, at the computer).

My name is Lyre, otherwise known as Darasvi. I'm not always so odd, in fact I'm usually actually pretty boring, but if you get to know me better I'm happy to show my more enthusiastic side. I don't read too often, either, just a bit... or a lot... or, well, more than the average teenager cares too, but not as much as some. If you're curious, I mostly read fantasy, but occasionally a nonfiction book, (more often than not a history book), presents itself to me in a very appealing manner and I really, really, REALLY, just out-of-the-blue, have to pick it up. That seems to be happening more and more as I get into linguistics, oddly enough. (Linguistics is a new thing I'm getting into, in an attempt to make a language for a really huge school project that isn't required...)

Right, er, by now you're reading this thinking I'm quite the nerd, but I actually lean on the g33ky side. I'm a gamer, a very proud gamer, and not like the typical female gamer. I'm not boss at Halo (but I like it), and I'm not too fond of Final Fantasy. I've been playing Zelda much of my life, and it is still my favorite, but you may also recognize the Phantasy Star Series, the (original) Golden Axe Series, World of Warcraft, Assassin's Creed, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Soul Caliber, and Skyrim, which are a few of many I play. I also love Star Wars, Star Trek, anything Jules Verne or Tolkien, Marvel Comics, and tinkering with computers, (and yes, I have LARPed before, but I don't often).

Besides all of this, this nerdiness and geekiness I love so much, I am still a teenage girl. I do hang with my "girlfriends" often, though rather than talk about guys and people we hate, we also talk about weapons and good fake blood recipes. (If it makes you feel any better, we still curl up in fuzzy blankets wearing shirts that say "princess" on them during sleepovers) I freak out at my hair in the morning, I talk too much, and I am very irked to realize that I still haven't managed to break whatever internal system makes you blush stare . So I'm not trying to make myself seem totally eccentric, I am proud to be a geek, and a nerd, though not so much a teenager... Isn't it nice to be able to say once in a while in a random "about me" section that you're proud to be who you are? Well I'm taking that opportunity; I'm proud to be who I am: Darasvi.

Darasvi

Still working on my profile coding, obviously. I have to jam in coding with several of my other past-times... and that's hard to do. I think it's "scheduled" on some Tuesday in a month or so when I'm not pillaging. wink
