About
I love cats and dragons, and am studying magic. I love to gain knowledge, but enjoy physical activities too. God, I sound sententious. XD I should probably say something more informative than this, but unlike some people I could name, I do not spend all day on the internet. So- what to say. I read more than anyone else I know (hence most of my conversation and thoughts revolve around books)....
hmmm. What else? My current re-obsession (What else do you call an obsession that has come out of abeyance) is (Guess from my background- awww, c'mon give it a try.) Sherlock Holmes. I have recently rediscovered why I adored him so in my younger days. (*cough* Figuratively speaking of course- I'm only 16) Now I am currently driving all my so-tolerant friends absolutely insane in my usual verbose manner with referances to the Great Detective. (apologies especially to 'Fox and Dark Mistress 211) (And thanks to 'Fox as well for bring to my attention how terrible my text was before.) If anyone has any questions (Within reason, of course) I will be willing to answer them. Now at least I actually sound like a real person (Albeit a rather eccentric one) instead of an automatron.
Here are a few of my favorite quotes:
"If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk?" ~Albert Einstien
"And the cat said, 'I am not a friend or a servant- I am the cat who walks by himself and all places are alike to me.'" ~Rudyard Kipling's "Just So Stories"
"I am what I am. I would tell you what you want to know if I could, for you have been kind to me. But I am a cat, and no cat anywhere ever gave anyone a straight answer." ~from the Last Unicorn"
"Fear not that thy life shall come to an end, but rather fear that it shall never have a beginning." ~Cardinal Newman
"On a bad singer- Swans sing before they die: 'twere no bad thing, should certain people die before they sing. ~Samuel Coleridge
"Everything you can imagine is real." ~Pablo Picasso
"Duty- So nigh is Grandeur to our dust, so near is God to man, When Duty whispers low, "Thou must" the youth replies "I can." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
"...And all men kill the thing they love, By all let this be heard, Some do it with a bitter look, Some with a flattering word, The coward does it with a kiss, The brave man with a sword!" ~From Oscar Wilde's "The Ballad of Reading Gaol"
