Fantasy allows a person to look into the complex design of his/her soul by making life an adventure full of virtues. Every time a hero vanquishes the villian, a lesson is learned. Love is usually always the "most powerful thing in the universe". Good always ( or at least almost always) defeats Evil. Fantasy is just a perfect mechanism used to escape pain, misery and loss. But if a person were to only depend on fantasy to serve as a scapegoat, the process of growth and maturity will wear away and the true prize will never be revealed: the experience of life.
