A Little of Me..

I'm Dominique-Dahlia. Call me "Dommi" if you like. I am more interested in the words you spew, rather than what you wear and what you have and do. I don’t really like using “I” so much, outside this page… it makes me feel uncomfortable since I don’t feel I’m too fond of talking about myself. I like people who don't wear watches, its nice to know what time it is but sometimes that reminder of time can be too binding and stressful. I like sarcasm, people who can regurgitate it and people who get it. I like being by myself, even though I enjoy conversing with others, noise distracts the mind. I can be quite the procrastinator with no regret or care whatsoever, honest. I have a tea drinking addiction whether it be vanilla chai tea, green tea, white tea, jasmine tea, etc anything that is a herbal tea… it helps soothes. That might also be one of the reasons why I’m short besides genetics. I like yoga and meditation, it helps me cope. Namaste. I learned to stop trying to fix things so much for it makes it worst, let time and life roll on like it should. I’m a bit of a nerd for I like watching Sci fi , Bruce Lee Enter the Dragon movies along with martial arts flicks and I’ve been playing video games since the age of 3 on the Sega Genesis, Atari, and Super Nintendo. I still do play games especially on Xbox live and now on PS3. I'm usually optimistic and enjoy having a great time chilling with others, but I am not really here to impress you. I don’t like hearing one sided stories for theres always another tale to tell, you learn to think from different perspectives, it helps with decision making. I enjoy being open-minded and observant of anything and everything I come across, even if you don’t notice, and tend to ignore the closed minded. It’s a new day and age; being closed minded will only hinder you from progression. I do tend to contradict myself at times but who doesn’t, we all can be hypocrites at times. I definitely have a love for pretty much for most to all genres of music but I’m not going to rant and babble how “music is my life” for it is a part of me but not my entity. I enjoy when musical artists reach for high levels of originality and experimentation, and do not conform to typical standards, trends, or hypes as set by the popular mainstream media but some try so hard but end up sounding the same. I tend to try to be light-hearted and fill life with euphemisms to make the world appear less grim. Honestly, I tune out A LOT, but if you are talking to me, don’t be offended… I’m still listening just in thought. I love art and others expressions of their creativity. I like creative, artistic people, who think outside the box… and then jump on it rather than say it. I love to laugh till my ribs hurt and my eyes are watering on the verge of crying, but I haven’t done that too often lately. I'm interested in culture along with cultured people. I want to dance through this life with a smile.. that me in a nutshell for now.
