Just that she's been helping with a tribal event lately, something about doing a survival training horse trail.
Not sure how long the trip is but knowing Lia she won't be cutting corners.

I'm not the best at judging what a healthy parent/child relationship is but I sincerely doubt theirs is a good example. Honestly a part of me wonders if my client is even safe with such a unstable spawn but it isn't my place to pry.
The Garage has cancelled the storage agreement, once legal issues are settled they want everything to do with the vehicle gone asap. I agreed to continue my contract, under the conditions that he secures another Garage with adequate security measures for the restoration process, my time and effort are properly compensated, and his brat can't come near me or my work even accidentally. I hate the idea of leaving a vehicle to rot just because a sentient cancer cell learned to demand attention with violence.

I took security measures with the garage, with the client's consent mind you, and banned the Son from the site for disruptive behavior. The Son responded by breaking in after hours and smashing up not just his father's vehicle but also two very expensive luxury cars that the garage was housing for other customers. Cameras caught the entire incident and the responding police got to witness his entirely-sober tantrum. No drugs, no alcohol, just a very pissed off narcissist ranting about how his dad had to be punished for telling him to stay out of the way.

3rd party is pressing charges for the destruction of their property, the garage is also filing for damages. I was asked, and agreed, to attend any necessary court summons as a witness to the man's behavior leading up to the incident. I do not know what to say to the client, his son is in deep and the car is... Well, not unfixable I'm sure but I'd have to really sit down and look at the poor thing to see if the value can survive this. No one can enter the garage until police clear it so who knows at this point.

I hadn't considered it could be a form of surveillance; Both my client and I have access to the security cameras as part of the garage's rental contract and I keep detailed receipts for transparency so it never crossed my mind that he could still feel the need for more monitoring methods. Thank you, I will consider this possibility and try to address any potential unrest or concerns professionally.

Still I will absolutely be limiting access like you suggested and reminding them that I only took this commission as a favor, this client received a fairly decent discount despite the amount of work this vehicle needs. While I do not love the idea of severing the contract, both for the sake of professionalism and payment, I'm not above doing so if needed. My primary interests are efficiency and maximal results.. this interference, regardless of the motivation behind it, is a unnecessary complication.

Entirely fair, I've tried politely mentioning it a few times but that hasn't helped much.
The context is that I'm working on a restoration for a client and thankfully he agreed to let me house the process in a secure 3rd party garage ( I refuse to work anywhere that doesn't have security cameras in-shop due to negative past experiences), but while the guy himself has been fine to deal with his Son has made it a personal mission to follow me around like a lost puppy and act like a fool. I've asked him not to enter the work area, there IS a waiting room he can skulk in if he must be there ( he has no reason to be there mind you) but he keeps sneaking into the garage and playing with the tools like a child. His antics are on camera and I've reported it to his father but the man just says his son (a 25ish year old adult) is just curious and trying to learn by shadowing me. I explained that I'm not comfortable with babysitting him and the man just sighed and reassured me he'd talk to the son. Lo and behold, the guy was back the next day acting even worse.

In more ways than you can imagine, I believe I need to put a stop to it.
I've been trying a new medication for a few weeks now, per doctor's orders, and the only thing the blasted thing has done is impair my judgement and leave me with dry mouth. I could have just kept drinking if I wanted insomnia and bad choices. stressed I'm not even home right now, work trip, but my 3am idiot self decided I wanted food.. so I door dashed it to my neighbor's house because (don't ask me how) I thought they could give it to me despite being states away. Thankfully my neighbor has a good sense of humor and appreciated the free food.
