they are... with a caveat! major cities like Tokyo tend to be comparable, but if you're willing to go out to the country you can get a house for $10k-$20k pretty easily. it will probably need some renovation but it's not unheard of to find a house, repair it, and have a perfectly livable home for less than $50k in many parts of the country. you can barely find a plot of land in a desirable city for that here rofl
I got started through sports - I played rugby in hs/college, and through that I was able to travel the country and even left the country for the first time. since then I've made it a personal mission to see as much of the world as I can. I love it
LA was a blast! made a quick pitstop to Mexico rofl but it was a great time.
I get it, entrepreneurship is a full time 24/7 job. also a true demonstration of faith. I have a ton of respect for anyone who chooses to pursue it, and I hope it's been going well for you!
ohh send it to me on IG ill watch it! and yeah - like the midnight gospel type of feel? I loved watching that show when it came out.
and yes lol this will be my third house? im tired honestly sweatdrop I sold my other properties when I moved out of state and now I've just been waiting on the right time. and you do not have to denounce your citizenship lol. you just have to get a visa, which can be tough if you're not Japanese or aren't fluent. you can also enroll in university and get a student visa. but those are not guarantees for permanent residency.. they're pretty strict.
and not much! just hanging out with friends in LA for Memorial Day. might go to Mexico for the weekend. we'll see 4laugh
How was your weekend?
if I were in your shoes what would I do? probably reach out to local art and recording studios to network with other artists and build up a portfolio with different kinds of projects. I'm not an artist but I've worked with a lot of them and the ones who always seem to find success are the ones who are constantly working with the people around them - finding ways they can compliment other people in the space and collaborate on things that bring attention to all of the people involved, not just customers. supporters and potential customers have to be able to see your work, and the best way I've seen to do that is by collaborating with other people who also have a vested interest in finding and/or feeding their audience.
I wish we had a system like other countries - mostly free education. I mean they have to pay for supplies and stuff but I've never heard of anyone who went to school in Asia or Europe having $100k+ in student loans.
nothing much new in my world. planning on a visit to LA later this month. still looking for a house in Japan - I actually just reached out about one I saw during my last visit. If I can get them to take some off of the price I might just buy it this month.
also looking into buying another house state side. lol just a lot of house stuff I guess
reason #47 I never wanna live in TX rofl Houston is awesome but I couldn't deal with it day to day.
make a plan! a goal without a plan is just a dream. I would start with asking what problem are you trying to solve for customers/artists and your wider audience and work from there. if you can solve problems for a wider audience, you have more potential customers.
rofl yeah there are a lot of people trying to hustle their way to the next bag. can't hate the player, gotta hate the game. anyone telling you that you don't have to study is definitely trying to sell you something. if I'm paying someone thousands of dollars they better have examples of past work and outcomes for past customers.
not too hard on college rofl it helped me a ton. its definitely a scam but it can be helpful in certain areas. well, college itself isn't really the scam. the loans and inflated cost definitely is though. no way in the world we should be charging folks $50k a year for school when the avg salary is like $60k a year neutral
thank you for sharing! may your practice continue going well.
dude told you the part exploded like in the car? I mean that can happen depending on the part but it sounds sketchy rofl you gotta find a trustworthy place! will save you a ton of time and money.
ahhh I see. how do you plan on differentiating your site from others? do you already have an ad plan, or do you want to do it more word of mouth?
and lol! do not pay anyone(!!!) $7k for a class like that. especially if they don't have a portfolio rofl YouTube has all of the resources you need to get started. when you scale you can pay a firm $7k to do an entire campaign!
online courses and "coaching" are the latest scam. those people are so annoying lol.
you drew it frame by frame... so like an animation?
what's up with your car?! and why did they need it for two months and still need to fix more of it?! gonk
I'm honestly not sure. would you be making prints of your own stuff, or other peoples art? i've bought art here and there and I've always preferred to buy originals rather than prints, but if you or the artists you'd be working with have the customer base to make selling prints make sense I say go for it.
nah I think they mostly just want more men involved with the ministry. which is cool...but I'm a tech guy I don't wanna sing, I'd rather help fix computers rofl
go watch it! its a classic. I watch it at least once a year. so good.
I have not seen the new jjk! thank you for the reminder, I need to go and watch it. I finished solo leveling not too long ago and kinda forgot it came out this year lol
heart
and zhu is dropping a new album this month
