Kimimaro, although he is a rain ninja, used to be one of the "Sound's Five". Originally he was the boy that Orochimaru had first laid eyes upon for his "reincarnation" jutsu before going to Sasuke. Sasuke's seal is in equal power to Kimimaro "gaia" seal. Kimimaro believes that everyone is given life for a reason, that everyone has something important to accomplish. And the only freedom that God gave humans is the quest to discover what that is. Now that Kimimaro has lost the purpose of being the "container" he believes his new purpose is to bring the new container, no matter what.
