My name is Joanne, but anyone with any sense calls me Josie, because... well, it's better. No one likes their real name, right? I'm 23, was born on July 4th 1983. I am known for being innocent (don't believe anyone who says otherwise), for adoring dragonflies and all things happy and sparkly, and campaigning (read, complaining at my friends) for the safety of spiders and other bugs (would you like being stamped on?). Aside from that, I am the Internet's resident Dr. Pepper Queen(tm), and like to eat chocolate for breakfast.

She loves to watch anime and read manga, favourites including Yuugiou, Pokemon, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Scryed, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Ouran High School Host Club and Kaikan Phrase. She also has a love of Japanese rock, and at the moment, an obsession with hide and all things X Japan. Along with that, she likes to write, loves to roleplay, and wastes endless hours sitting in front of her computer.

Josie was once known simply as Josiechan, but recently changed her name to Ak!tsu, 'akitsu' being the old Japanese name for 'dragonfly'. She has been a member of Gaia since October 1st, 2004, and therefore celebrated her two year Gaia Anniversery earlier this year.
