I pick up on phrases and ways of talking in books all the time...I used to drive my mom nuts when I read a certain book...I'd always talk in thieves cant (ain't and whatnot) after I read it...and my mom and dad are English Majors, so I guess it's like nails on a chalk board to them... I've really been trying to stop saying "bugger" cause of what it means... sweatdrop

I seem to use a lot of British words/phrases like bugger off!, bloody, prat, and git quite often.
I've also been saying "eh?" at the end of sentences for years and I have no idea when that started. Oh those crazy Canadians! blaugh

Ulfin I seem to use a lot of British words/phrases like bugger off!, bloody, prat, and git quite often. I've also been saying "eh?" at the end of sentences for years and I have no idea when that started. Oh those crazy Canadians! blaugh I've just been doing the "eh?" recently. I have no idea why. It must be wingnut's influence. Although, when I was in Europe with my HS friend, whenever we were getting particularly anti-American from the people around us, we'd start talking to each other and saying "eh?" just to ourselves as kind of a code to not say we were American in order to avoid getting s**t for it. Again.
