Laying on the grass on a battlefield, Mausoleum stared up at the sky with her gray eyes. She was here again to see her friend, Falcon, as they had arranged another battle between each other. Beside her, Fiera was sitting, staring at the opposite end of the field. She was clearly excited for another battle, especially since her very first had gone rather well.
Mausoleum reached a hand up, and patted her on the head. Heaving herself up, she glanced in the same direction as Fiera, hoping to see Falcon approaching.

Last time Falcon had met with Mauser, Cale had been in the ring; and they had nearly won until he had lost his focus. But today, Kiliina was up. She wasn't very strong; and in her past couple of battles she had taken a lot of damage. But she and Falcon were of the same mind; if she did her best, they were the winners regardless of the outcome. Still, their last battle had made her feel uncomfortable; the Raichu had given Falcon a feeling that all it cared about was the win. So now, she was going up against her old friend once more. Shading her eyes, Falcon saw Mauser sprawled on the grass. Smiling slightly, she placed Kiliina on the ground; where the small Skitty ran forwards gamely. "I'm ready when you are!" Falcon called to her friend.

Yawning again, Mausoleum heaved herself up, and saw Falfal. She let out a large grin, and stood up, seeing that Fiera was already heading onto the battlefield. She smiled, and looked back over at Falfal. She was hoping for another outcome like the last battle they had, but was still wanting the fun of battling more.
When Fiera stopped walking, and stood ready to begin, Mausoleum called out, "Alright, lets get this started!"
Thinking to herself, Mausoleum tried to come up with a strategy. She believed that strategy was very important when battling, especially the using of your brain. Finally deciding, she called out to her Growlithe.
"Fiera, lets kick off this battle with Take Down!"
Fiera nodded, letting out a small "Gruff." and packing some power into her body, charged towards the Skitty.

Falcon leaned forward; her fists clenched as she called out. "Kiliina, avoid that!" The tiny Pokemon hastened to obey; leaping as the Growlithe charged at her. Still, she wasn't quite fast enough; and her opponent smashed into her back end. She skidded around, but Falcon saw the chance to use the movement to their advantage. Filled with hope, she yelled out again. "Kiliina! Use your momentum to power Iron Tail!" The Skitty nodded and used her paws to continue spinning; hardening her tail as she did so. (Dice Roll) She threw her small weight behind the attack; but she hadn't been able to plan the move properly. Still, it was accurate; and she managed to get good power behind it. Falcon punched the air; a good start! 4 Damage! Dice * 16 / 17

Mausoleum eye twitched as she saw the attack hadn't been as successful as she had hoped.
Fiera growled at seeing she had been near to missing, and then felt a pain hit into her side, and she slid across the ground. Growling a bit more, than forgetting the anger inside her, she stood again, ready for another attack.
Mausoleum thought a bit more, and then called out, "Fiera, lets use Flame Wheel!"
Nodding, and inhaling quickly, Fiera opened her jaws wide, and released two large bursts of fire, that quickly took the form of a wheel, and aimed it towards Kiliina.

"Don't let it scorch your face!" Falcon called out. "Avoid it if you can!" Kiliina tried to dodge out to way; but as the flame wheel got too close, she turned her back on it. The edge of it washed over her body and she let out a mewl of pain; but at least she had her face out of the direct blast- that would have hurt. She turned back to the Growlithe; and Falcon yelled encouragement to the small feline. "You're doing great, Kiliina! Now use Tackle!" The Skitty nodded and quickly shortened the distance between her and the Growlithe, before throwing herself into a leap at it. (Dice Roll) She was so light her tackles were rarely powerful; but it was still quite accurate. 4 Damage! 5 * 16 / 17 = 4

Fiera smiled when her attack had at least done a bit of damage. Mausoleum bit her lip, then tried to think of more to do.
Not even seeing Kiliina attack, Fiera felt a small jolt of pain, and flew a few spaces away from her, breathing rapidly. She looked over at the Skitty, and growled a bit.
Mausoleum then called out, "Fiera, try a Flamethrower!"
Hearing her trainer, Fiera took a large inhale of air, and let out another large burst of fire, and aimed it towards Kiliina.

"Kiliina, roll out the way!" The Skitty dove sideways to avoid the attack; but her tail was engulfed in flames and she spun around, leaping on it and patting the flames out with her front paws. Falcon raised a hand to hide her smirk at Kiliina; she looked pretty darned cute like that, despite the situation. Still, she couldn't get distracted. They were on even footing now; and it was important to stay focused. "Okay Kiliina! Iron Tail!" Kiliina hardened her tail as she ran closer to her opponent; then quickly flipped herself into a tight spin, to send her tail into the attack. (Dice Roll) But she didn't have enough time to aim properly after running in close; and Falcon winced, seeing the attack had hardly any real power behind it. 2 Damage! 5 * 16 / 17 = 4

Mausoleum couldn't help but release a very tiny giggle at Kiliina putting her tail out. She hoped Falfal wouldn't hear it, though.
Clearing her throat, and seeing Kiliina's tail now light up and harden, she called out to Fiera. "Fiera, try your best to dodge her tail!"
Fiera growled, and while the tail was coming down, jumped aside, but felt it hit one of her hind legs. She let out a tiny bark of pain, then landed a few feet away from Kiliina.
"Okay, Fiera! Try and land a Bite!"
Fiera, then ran towards Kiliina, jaws open wide, attempting to land the bite, and taste flesh.

Kiliina let out a loud mewl of agony as the Growlithe's teeth sunk into her hind quarters. She pulled away; but her flank was bleeding, as she shivered as she backed away from her opponent. Falcon leaned forwards, her hand at her throat. Oh, they had been doing so well, too...! But she called out encouragement to her Pokemon. "Come on, Kaliina! You're doing great; I'm proud of you! Now, use Tackle again!" The Skitty pulled herself together at the sound of her trainer's voice. She'd keep fighting, regardless of the outcome! She crouched; and threw herself at the Growlithe. (Dice Roll) Regardless of her bleeding wound, Kiliina knew she would never give up. She would give her all! She put all she had into the tackle; throwing her entire body at her opponent. 7 Damage! Damage = 7

While Fiera was regaining her balance from jumping back, freeing Kiliina's hind quarters. She then felt Kiliina's tackles, which had actually been more powerful from her previous one, and flew, landing on her side on the ground. She blinked, and stood back up, and started charging towards her, and circled her.
Mausoleum quickly called out, "Use Ember, Fiera!" and Fiera quickly halted, and let out a small, but powerful blast of fire towards Kiliina.

"Kiliina, it's small! Dodge it!" "Mew!" The Skitty let out a noise of triumph as she ran; and as the fire came towards her, she leaped hard, clearing the fire- and her opponent- neatly. Still, she didn't avoid all damage; her already burned tail smouldered slightly. Kiliina ignored it as she landed; spinning as she she skidded across the grass. Falcon pumped her fist at Kiliina's manouver. "Yess! You're doing amazing!" Feeling her eyes fill with tears of pride, Falcon knew it was time. "Return!" Kiliina nodded; the Skitty wasn't sure she could do as much as she should- but she would do her best! (Dice Roll) For Falcon! For her Trainer, Kiliina would throw all her loyalty and all her remaining power into this! The tiny Pokemon gritted her teeth as she sprinted at her opponent; and leaped, front legs outstretched. She would never give up! 7 Damage! Damage = 7

Fiera growled at seeing her attack not doing very much, but shrugged it off, hoping her next attack would be better.
Mausoleum looked confused at hearing Skitty's next attack, though before she could call out to Fiera, she had already been hit, and it had clearly caused quite a bit of damage. Fiera flew back, landing on her side again, and started taking in sharp, short breaths. She knew that if she got hit with something as powerful again, it would all be over.
Mausoleum bit her lip, and thought about what else there was she could do. She then cleared her throat, and said to Fiera, "Alright, Fiera. Lets try and land another Take Down."
Fiera, nodded, and staggered while she tried to stand. She then let out a low growl, and ran at Skitty as fast she was able to, with the small force she had left. If this were possibly her last attack, she wanted it to leave a deal of damage. Once close enough, she threw herself towards Kiliina.
