Just wondering how many of you play an instrument.
I have been playing the violin for 5 years (and I still can't do virbrato!!!)

Nope, but I want to learn to play the violin, guitar (normal/electric), piano and now I'm even intrested in the trumpet. mrgreen

I also played the French Horn for 2 years but then I went to a school without a band so I never really played it anymore whee

crying It sucks that I can't do it. Maybe I need to get a bigger violin (right now I have a 3/4)
but I'm sure you play way better than I do.

I've been playing the piano for 6 years, but it'll be a while before I can play as well as Ryoutarou.

well i play the cello for 4yrs but i can't play right now i need a new d string accidently broke it while tuning sweatdrop

Serena Delano wow, thats cool. So which would you say is more fun to play? violin or viola? violin cuz i've been playing longer but viola cuz theres no E string XD soooo...idk :S

I play the Violin.
I have been playing for almost 3 years and I love it.
I know how to do vibrato - i started using it last year.
I also play my keyboard - i have been teaching myself how though sweatdrop

I can't really learn without a teacher. I need someone there to tell me if I'm doing it right nor not. I really wanna learn to play piano too!
I started learning virbrato but I never really "officially" learned it cause I graduated to high school the the band teacher sucks, so yeah.
Why is the E hard? because of 3rd position?

Why is the E hard? because of 3rd position? yeah, it is really hard to learn without a teacher... i learned vibrato from watching others. that stinks. the E is most definitely the hardest, but i guess it would be because of the different positions.

I've only done 3rd a few times so I'm not really an expert on it.
You learned by watching? I hope you learned right b/c my teacher told me that if you learn it the wrong way you'll have to relearn it and it'll be harder. She said something about if you don't learn it right it will sound like a fire truck/ambulance.

She said something about if you don't learn it right it will sound like a fire truck/ambulance. lol, yeah - but my teacher showed me once during a lesson and taught me how to do it before i had NYSSMA, but i'm no expert or anything - i'm still trying to do it better because it's really hard especially on the higher positions of the E string 3nodding

I haven't really played the violin much recently because my first instructor moved away and then my 2nd instructor went and had 6 kids and I don't really wanna see her breast feeding while I'm trying to have a lesson crying
