 Raven looked over the battlefield for a moment, before tossing her pokeball in the air. "Go, Diamond." she shouted, and the young pup materialized onto the field. It was their first battle, and the houndour left out a small howl while he waited for his opponent to appear.

Current HP 32/32 Rae stepped calmly onto the battlefield, Maxwell's pokeball in hand. She looked over her opponant and her houndour with a small smile and a friendly nod in their direction before clicking the white button on the ball. "Maxwell, come to the battle!" Suddenly there was a calm white light coming from the open pokeball, once it had cleared, Maxwell hovered in front of his trainer with a determined look on his face. "Mite!"

Current HP 30/30 Raven smiled at the other trainer. "Nice Magnemite," she called over to her opponent before turning her attention to the match. "Diamond, use ember." The little pup growled in agreement, and after taking a deep breathe, sent embers flying over towards his opponent.

Current HP 28/32 Maxwell was taken by surprise at the houndour's speed and the flames scorched against his metal, leaving black marks where they had licked him. He scowled back at the pup while waiting for Rae's command. "Maxwell, use tackle!" Maxwell blinked in agreement before racing up the field... 4 Damage to Diamond

Current HP: 26/30 The tackle knocked back the houndour, but he shook it off, and looked to his trainer for her next command. "Diamond, use bite." He raced towards the Magnemite, and attempted to bite the other pokemon. 3 damage done to Maxwell.

Current HP 25/32 Maxwell winced as the teeth ground against his metal, causing high pitched sound similar to fingernails on a chalkboard. This gave Rae the idea for the next attack, "Maxwell, Metal sound, now!" While the teeth were still around him, the magnemite suddenly started vibrating as he created the high pitch screaming that was his favourite attack... 3 Damage to Diamond

Current HP: 23/30 He released the magnemite, with a wince, his ears didn't appreciate the high pitched sound. "Diamond," Raven said, "Use Swift." The pup nodded, and aimed towards the magnemite, releasing star shaped rays that flew towards the other pokemon. 7 damage to Maxwell.

Current HP 18/32 Maxwell was enjoying making his metal sound too much to noctice that the other pokemon had started an attack until it was too late and he was hit with the full force of it, throwing him back towards his trainer. Rae crouched down to his level while watching him flying back, clenching her fists in frustration at not being able to do anything for him. "Maxwell, Tackle!" Maxwell shook himself in preperation for the attack before racing back at the houndour... 2 damage to Diamond

Current HP: 21/30 Diamond attempted to dodge the attack. He was mostly sucessful, and the magnemite's tackle barely bumped into him. "You're doing a great job Diamond," Raven shouted. "Now use ember." He took in a breathe, and once again blew embers at the other pokemon.
6 damage to Maxwell.

Current HP 12/32 Once again, more flames scorched Maxwells metal, causing him to cry out. Without waiting for an order from his trainer, he raced at the houndour in another tackle attack, trying to make up for the last one.. 6 damage to Diamond

Current HP: 15/30 The blow had caused the pup to skid back several feet. It had been much stronger than the Magnemite's last attack. Raven was enjoying the battle, even if she didn't like to see her pokemon hurt. "Attack him with Fire fang." Diamond growled in agreement and darted back towards the other pokemon, his fangs glowing eerily red. 4 damage to Maxwell.

Current HP 8/32 Maxwell shook from the attack and Rae could tell that he was starting to get a lot weaker.. How he remained battling, she couldn't understand, this houndour was tougher than she had thought. "Maxwell, metal sound!" She chose an attack that hopefully wouldn't harm her pokemon in anyway Maxwell rubbed his magnets together, starting to create the ear-spitting noise again 3 damage to Diamond

Current HP: 12/30 Diamond had been expecting the magnemite to use that attack again, so this time, while it was still painful, didn't make him lose his concentration. "Use tackle," Raven called out to her pokemon. "Houndour," the pup cried out as he darted towards the magnemite. 7 damage to Maxwell.

Current HP 1/32 Rae winced as her magnemite was tossed to her feet, when he recovered, it was hovering as close to the ground as he could without actually touching it. The trainer fingered the pokeball in her hand, wishing she could withdraw him to save him the misery of fainting. However, she couldn't, so she gave the command, "Maxwell, tackle attack!" Maxwell blinked weakly and started one last charge up the field... 3 damage to Diamond

Current HP: 9/30 The magnemite hit Diamond and he could tell that the other pokemon was getting not at it's full strength. "Now, Diamond, use Swift." He did as commanded and aimed the star shaped rays towards the magnemite. 5 damage to Maxwell.
