I haven't had a chance to check it out yet but the September issue of Shonen Jump had an ad for RomajiQuest which is described as a "PC RPG designed to help you learn Japanese from a beginner level!"

Update: my daughter checked the site out and says that you have to pay $16.95 and then download the software. Which is available for Windows XP or Vista. I'm automatically leery about the Vista version since the OS hasn't been out long enough for programmers to learn all the bugs and quirks that could make a program fussy.

It's probably legit since they had enough money to advertise in Jump but there is a small chance that it could be a scam.
