A seventeen year old girl walks confidently onto the Battlegrounds. There was a Pikachu on her head wearing a big pink bow, and it leapt down infront of her, eager for battle. She had watched the way Magnet and Brick battled, learning from both of them. "Alright Emi, it's your turn now. You can do it!" She told the Pikachu, taking off the big pink bow. "Theirs our next opponent, show him who's boss!"
Emi leapt into the arena, watching the Dratini's every move, She hadn't yet fought one of those, she'd fought a much bigger HOundour though, and emerged victorious. It came at her in a tackle.
"Emi quick! Jump to the side and counter with Iron Tail!" Spinel commanded.
The Pikachu leapt to the side, nicked on the leg by the Dratini. Her tail reflected the light as an iron coating encased it, spinning around like a whirling dervish and trying to bring it in the back of the Dratini's head.

Alexander saw the attacking Pikachu and tried to get out of the way. "Quickly, roll to your side Alex!" Alexander attempted to do so and succeeded for the most part although the iron tail attack still scraped against his side doing a bit of damage. Just a little worse for wear, Alexander got back up and readied himself to attack. "Alrighty, this is starting to get interesting. Try using a pound attack" 8 damage to enemy pokemon Alexander 30

Dang, hardly any damage on that first attack. Spinel thought as she watched the battle.
The Pikachu didn't recover from the Iron Tail fast enough and was pounded in the back by the Dratini's tail, propelled forwards and skidding on the ground. She got up and shook it off, turning with a gleam in her eye as she looked at the Dratini, seeing her trainer behind it.
"You're doing fine Emi! Use Volt Tackle!"
The yellow mouse ran back at the Dratini in a zig zag motion, electricity crackling out of her cheeks and enveloping her body as she ran, turning her into a mini-comet again as she raced towards Alexander.

The electrified pikachu rushed at Alexander and connected easily at that speed, but the attack did less damage than expected. Alexander was somewhat shaken by the attack but remained focused on his next move. "Well Alex, you're doing great and by no means is this battle over. They're attacks are bound to get stronger so don't get too cocky. Stay focused and concentrate on your next attack." Alexander heard his trainer clearly and quickly focused his eyes on his oppoenent. "Go, wrap attack!" Alexander sprung forward trying to wrap his body around the enemy. 8 damage to enemy pokemon Alexander 27

She was too close to the Dratini to get away. Alexander wrapped around her body and squeezed, forcing a cry out of the Pikachu. Luckily they had a counter for such an attack.
"You know what to do." Spinel wasn't worried, they'd faced a similar problem with Matem the Houndour not long ago.
The Pikachu's cheeks crackled and popped with electricity, an electric current joining and forming a rather large ball made purely of electricity. When it was big enough she shot it at the Dratini's head, hoping it would do more damage than her Iron Tail and Volt Tackle.

The last electrifying attack left a serious impression on Alexander that the pikachu was not to be messed with. Also, the severity of the attack made Alexander release his grip on the small pokemon. Much less energetic than when the battle began, Alexander once again turned to face his oppoenent. "Alex, that last attack was pretty strong, but you have to be stronger. I don't think that we should be using wrap against them anymore though. Don't worry, you have plenty of other attacks left. Let's show them your take down." Alexander tensed himself up and then rushed forward to attack with takedown. 2 damage to enemy pokemon Alexander 22

The wrap loosened and she quickly pulled away, getting a safe distance from Alexander. It seemed they'd learned not to take her lightly.
"Great job Emi! Magnet could learn a thing or two from watching you." Spinal cheered from the trainers circle.
The Dratini barreled towards her once again, and she was ready for the counter. She didn't have to wait for Spinel's order, she knew what she was going to say. Her tail was coated in iron again and she leapt over Alexander, doing somersaults to gain power and momentum. She tried to bring it down on the Dratini's back, not realizing that when she had leapt over him she hit her foot on his head, doing a tiny bit of damage.

Still flying from the momentum of his last attack, Alexander was propelled out of the way of the incoming iron tail attack. Unfortunately, his tail didn't quite make it as far as the rest of his body and the iron tail connected doing a bit of damage. Looking back, he was relieved that the attack didn't completely hit him. Frederic breathed a sigh of relief as the last attack from the pikachu ended. "Alright Alex, you're doing great. Try a pound attack now" Alexander looked ready to battle again and swung his tail towards the pikachu. 6 damage to enemy pokemon Alexander 20

"Look out!" Spinel called as the Dratini readied for another Pound attack. That one did serious damage last time, and it was likely to do it again.
Emi tried to get away but once again the atempt failed. She was hit in the side by the Dratini's tail. "Pika!" She cried as she flew across the arena, slowly getting up.
"Emi, you can do it I know you can! Attack with Shockwave!"
The electricity from her cheeks nearly exploded as it formed a wave of electricity, heading directly for Alexander.

The shockwave attack hit sqaure on as Alexander reeled back from the force of the impact. The electrical attack did more damage than any attack from the pikachu this battle and Alexander was clearly shaken. "Alex, you can do this. I believe in you. It was just one attack. Don't lose focus." Alexander shook his head slightly regaining his composure. "Alright, this time, try a tackle" Needing little more encouragement from his trainer, Alexander steadied himself and launched his attack. 8 damage to enemy pokemon Alexander 14

I grin of satisfaction flashed over the Pikachu's face as Alexander was sent backwards from her attack, her trainer giving her praise. But as the attack ended the Dratini came charging once more in a tackle. She was too weak now to dodge, but she tried anyways. Once again she failed to escape, Alexander tackled her square in the stomach and sent her flying backwards, landing heavily and skidding across the ground to her trainer.
"Emi!" Spinel shouted as she bent down and picked her up, holding her out to look at her. Her eyes were little spirals, but she shook her head and gave her trainer a weak smile. "You did a great job, I'm proud of you." She looked up at the other trainer and walked over. "Hey, you're a great trainer. I enjoyed our battle. My name's Spinel if you ever want to battle again." Spinel held out her hand to shake.

Spectrum Warrior Frederic recalled Alexander into his pokeball and headed over to Spinel. "Hey, you're a pretty good trainer yourself and I'd be glad to battle anytime. By the way, I'm Frederic and Alex looks pretty tired from today's battle. That pikachu of yours, emi, was awesome. It sure knows a wide range of attacks. Well, I have to guess we're going to be heading off now." With that, he accepted her handshake and exited the arena.
