I'm hoping thinking that the clip is sorta like what happened in the Season two finale trailer, and that it's just to hype up fans. I mean, I just can't see them suddenly going out with each other. Zuko hasn't really shown any interest in Mai, unless knocking a flaming apple off someone's head is something you only do to someone you love. :S
As far as the fate as Zutara goes, I'm not sure how she'll forgive him. Maybe they'll meet up while he's searching for his mother, but I'm not sure.

I'm slowly dying inside, it's like a stab to my ego.
I was quite sure that Zutara would happen, because there haven't been ANY Maiko/Zumai hints AT ALL before, only Mai crushing on Zuko.
The biggest problem I have, is that I don't think that Zuko would just simply kiss a girl, just because he can, he would do it with a reason, with his heart. And that's what's crushing me inside.
BUT! I will try to remain strong, because I just can't STAND all those "Haha, Zutara will go down" comments. *seethes*
It'S gonna be difficult, since all that has been shown, leaves me to speculating, and has thrown me quite off track. So many things I wouldn't have expected.
By the by: it looks to me like Zuko is stuck somewhere and has to get out or something = he got betrayed. In that one scene where he has that angry look on his face, while he's punching a wall or something. Oh yeah Zuzu....you WILL suffer D<

Yeah, I was thinking something bad happened to him as well. I'm thinking it's a) Iroh's dead and he's having one of his angry, grief moments, or b)He's having another internal battle about what he truely wants, like in 'Lake Laogai'.

When I saw this pic I think I kinda..CRIED!(but I heled my tears back enough,so that the didn't come out...)Zuko...I cant belive him!Kissing Mai!Noooooooooo...I got scared and stuff and my parents were telling my to calm down.I'm kinda calm now...calmly crushed...
I saw that pic and stared at it with a sad,misunderstood,and hopeless look in the eye...

But, don't lose hope. A lot of people are thinking it's like what happened with the season 2 finale trailer, where everyone thought Zutara would be canon. Hopefully, something happens that causes Zuko to leave Mai and realize his mistakes in the finale.
Besides, we still have fanon, right?

I for one believe and hope, that Zuko is being blackmailed by Azula to do this mess. In the promo trailer when he told Iroh that he could've been a hero if he had joined them got me thinking. What if Azula and/or Mai were telling him that if he didn't comply, Iroh would get "it".
Ah, the possibilities.
What kept me going was the little temper tantrum that Katara threw. When she yelled,"I would never turn my back on people who need me!" I automatically thought, "Zuko?!" So I'm hoping they have another interaction between them and Zuko realizes that what he's doing is wrong.
Because sad to say, it sounds like he really believes that he's doing what he thinks is "right". He took the only chance he had to regain his honor. Let's just hope I'm wrong and he did it to find out another way to overthrow his father's plans ... all that character development he went through would've gone down the drain.
If Zutara doesn't prevail as canon, we'll always have fanon. ):

Well, apparently, there's an episode with the title "Daydreams and Nightmares", or something of the sort. I'm not sure if it's true, but if it is, then that could most likely mean Mai is daydreaming.
I dunno, though. Either way, we can still like the pairing, right? It'll just be fanon.
