I'm trying to think of a way to make an AKs-74u, but without paying the $400+ needed for mod kits or just the regular ones by companies like VFC. What I'm thinking of doing is taking a TM Beta Spetznaz, using a stock adapter, replacing the pistol grip, foregrip, magazine, and adding a 74u folding stock, which I can't seem to find. Thoughts? Suggestions? Is it plausable?

How 'bout you don't make an ugly ak m4 b*****d..
If you want an AK, get an AK and throw a Kobra on it.
Done.

I said FOLDING stock. Maybe it'd help if I showed some visuals: Here's some info on the weapon I'm talking about. And no, I'm not talking about adding an M4 stock to an AK, that's just retarded. AKs-74u

Yeah, that does sound horribly stupid.
Either way, I can't seem to find a cheap way to convert anything into a 74u. I did however see a full metal kit to turn a TM ak into a 74 with a laqured wood and everything for only $200. Hopefully they'll make the kit I'm looking for later on...

Yeah, i forgot to mention, I found out that Echo is coming out with a 74u. The MP5's are still JG, but I'm still not sure about who the manufacturer for the 74u is.

If I'm not mistaken, CYMA makes an MPEG AKS-74U.
