JJ Abrams ran onstage at San Diego Comic-Con after another showing of the infamous Cloverfield project trailer. Without sitting down he declared that America deserves a new monster movie. Not Godzilla and not Kink King, but something awesome, and for our generation. The crowd went nuts. He said there would be new footage to share... a new trailer... a title even! Just not today. 6, 500 people sighed.
Not to leave us totally empty handed, we did see a poster. Up on the screen, for just a moment, a blue tinted shot of the Statue of Liberty with it's head blown off. In the bottom right hand corner that date 01-18-08. And just like that it was gone.
When pressed for the title of the movie - we got....
The title is NOT : "Monstrous"
He's really milking this ain't he? And we're all eating it up.
