History?

Fictional Game story
The history of MISSINGNGO dates back to the early prehistoric times of man and Pokemon when man was in his pre-evolve form as apes.


Factual Story

Well theres 2 stories to this and i will start with the basic one, The Term MISSINGINGO mean missing number. Its the games way of telling you that it cannot determine whats in front of you. So instead of the game crashing, it give you a unknown pokemon.

The second story is about the fact you can find MISSINGNGO without using a cheating device, in pokemon red and blue/green. In the Original storyline you needed to get a baby kangaskahn back from team rocket and return it to the game warden of the safari zone to be rewarded HM03 (surf). And you also get to keep the baby pokemon. But because of programing errors, Pokedex room and time it was scraped. But there was a few bits of programing left that causes MISSINIGNGO to evolve.

What if i been Infected by The MISSINGNGO?

BE AWARE, Missingngo is extremely bad for your game, its advise you never caught it. for diamond and pearl, the only way to find Missngngo is to use a cheating device or hacking.

Well the older gen games was quite simple to find MISSINGNGO. All you had to do is to surf up and down on the right side of Cinnabar island. And by talking to a guy in veridein city to show you how to catch a pokemon, you can get infinite items by placing in in the 3rd item in your inventory. The only way to be infected by a MISSINGNGO is to catch it. it sometimes glitches your game to make some towns corrupt(glitch City) and can also ruin your hall of fame record if you fight with a MISSINGNGO in your party

I hope i can get misingo i want a bunch or rare candys and items

So, this is some kind of glitch pokemon? Really, what's so special about it? I mean besides the fact that it's all pixel-y and looks kinda cool.

Some Missingno. and 'M Facts

One Way to get MissingNO.

1. Go to Viridian City and watch the man catch weedle
2. Fly to Cinnabar Island and surf up and down on the east bank of the island
3. Odd pokemon may appear, like Muk lvl 145, and Magnemite lvl 255 But Missingno, or most likely 'M will appear.

another way to get MissingNO.

1. In Cinnabar trade with a person (like the guy who wants seel for ponyta)
2. Surf on the east bank MissingNO. will appear in the Ghost form. (or it should. neutral )


'M can evolve into either Kangaskhan or Rhyhorn in Pokemon Yellow.
If you trade 'M from PKMN Red/Blue to Yellow it will change into a charizard that can learn, Water gun, and thunder. But it will still be glitched.

When I traded Missingno to my Crystal from my Blue, it showed up as a Smeargle.
