The night air was cool and silent, just what the common erras needed. His breath came in gentle puffs, fogging the air before him as he flared his nostrils and snorted quietly. His first and last run through the chasm had been particularly terrifying and he was glad to rest in the glade for as long as he liked. There was no need to travel elsewhere for now, when all his needs were presented here in abundance. His ebony coat quivered absently as he clipped a few blades of dew-soaked grass, chewing the greenery thoughtfully. When the sound of hooves reached his ears, his head rose instantly as his ears swiveled towards the sound. Still he chewed, but when he caught sight of the figure pummeling towards him in the dark, he swallowed and snorted once again.

"Laphus, what could you possibly be running from in a place like this?"

The other stallion, a chaotic with his great curving ram horns, shook his sienna hued head so that the white blaze caught what little light the sky offered that night. Slowing to a trot, it took him a moment to see his friend until he came closer. All that was visual were the golden horn and matched markings on the erras' face. As he drew nearer, he could make out the outline of the black pelt against the backward and he whickered his greeting as he slid to a halt. "It's a beautiful night for a run! Nakhti, join me! Just a short trot over the meadows, or are you afraid you'll trip over a cerivalt?"

"As if such a thing would stop me." He might've smiled at the chaotic erras, but instead dropped his head calmly to nibble a few more bits of shrubbery from a sapling growing nearby. His ears moved constantly, alert to the sound of the wood around them though otherwise relaxed as he grazed. When Laphus reached out to n** as his shoulder, the black stallion leapt to one side before raising himself in a half rear, "Don't start that again. You know what you'll have coming to you."

((I'm inserting myself, if that's alright. I figured since you said they were in the glade that you meant I could bring Petal in.))

Listening to the soft and gently chirping of the crickets beneath her hooves, a small mare whinnied softly along to their lonely song. Swishing her tail in the moonlight caused glints of the beautiful orb's rays to shine off of the white in her hair and along her back. Taking her eyes off of the enveloping sky overhead, the skunk marked female snorted in sudden distaste. "Now where have I managed to lose myself?" Whickering softly, she stamped a delicate leg down to the lush grass beneath her and shook her head. The poor girl was always getting lost, and it didn't seem that there was going to be any help in getting back.

"Well, goodness," the sound of her own low voice made her jump, then blush as she realised she had spoken louder than the mare had meant to. Scanning her eyes over and amongst the lush and silver-beamed trees, they sparkled with joy as she noticed a glade just ahead of where she was standing. What surprise, at least it was a place for her to stay until she could find her way back to her meadow. Enjoying the quiet clip-clopping of her hooves on the leaf-carpeted ground she trotted her way to and into the glade then stopped as though caught in some giant, unseeable, web.

"Oh!"

It was Nakhti who heard the sound first - shifting footsteps and a soft whicker that announced that they were not alone in their little corner of the glade. His dark head rose not in alarm but in a clear sign of alertness, ears swivelling towards where he figured the source of the sound would be. Sometimes it was difficult to tell in this place, but he was positive he had heard another this time. Laphus laughed at the other stallion's sudden seriousness, but that was when a distinctive gasp shot through their minds and even the joshing young male turned his head toward the sound.

Ah, there it was. A pretty mare had made her way into their arena. If Laphus could smile, he would have then. Instead, his tail raised slightly first to lash against his back at imagined flies and then simply in a handsome move. Tossing his head, there was a strange noise as he bumped the side of his own horns against Nakhti's. "We've company, my friend."

High-stepping over the grass, Laphus stopped a respectable distance from the female before glancing back to see if his friend followed. Sure enough, Nakhti pulled alongside and it was he who spoke, "Are you alright, miss?" He tried to be polite sounding, but it did come out a bit gruff as generally Nakhti was not a sociable stallion. It was Laphus who forced him into such situations.

As Dakota looked around she hopes to find her other daughters and the father of her hree babies while she happily nuzzled her only son Kunai and notices he's asleep while she walks off to something something to eat for both of them while she kisses him softly on the head.

Kunai sleeps peacefully while hoping to see his sisters and father again while he smiles in his sleep as he sleeps on his back kicking his feet at the same time before sleeping on his belly again.

Dakota looks for food for her and her baby while she caught two unfamiliar scents from other horses. "That smell... it's too bad that the scents don't match my two dauhters and their father." Dakota aid sadly while she continues walking in search of food.
