Only post here if you are battling the shop Pokemon, please.

When a shop Pokemon is available to battle, please PM a request to VG Cat. But there are a few things you must realize and consider before requesting.

1. I barely have a life outside of Gaia, so challenges will not always be open.
2. Your request will not be accepted if it is posted here! The reason for this is because I might not check back here very often. It also shows that you haven't read these rules clearly.
3. Because I(VG Cat) have my own pokemon, I like to battle with them as well, so don't expect me to reply very fast to the battle if I'm elsewhere on the Battlegrounds.
4. Rules are subject to change. I will make an announcement in the main shop if this happens, as well as put it in the title.
5. Please please please realize that you might not be the only one wanting to battle the shops Pokemon, and there there might be others before you. You will have to take turns while I battle everyone one-on-one.

Include this in your PM to VG Cat, title it with the nickname of the Pokemon you will be using and the nickname of the shop Pokemon you wish to battle.

Battle Rules

1. Even if you have more than one Pokemon, you will only battle with one Pokemon.
2. Attacks with long term effects, such as Leech Seed, Whirlpool, etc., have no effects after initial attack.
3. Attacks that may paralyze, burn, freeze, poison, confuse, etc. also have no effect other than damaging on initial use.
4. Attacks that cause stat reduction do no such thing, merely causes damage.
5. Just like in the games, you can only have 1-4 attacks.
6. We take turns attacking, meaning one attack per post.
7. If I catch you deleting and resending your post for a higher roll, I will call off the battle and report it to Lee. This is cheating people, and will not be tolerated.
8. There is a time limit folks. I understand that some of you may have busy schedules, but it's not nice to leave for a few days when it's your turn and make the people on the waiting list wait longer than they should have to. So if you're going to battle, please make sure you have at least a couple hours. Of course if there is no one on the waiting list than this does not apply.

Frederic walked into the stadium, eager to face off against his next challenge. When he arrived at his designated position, he was slightly surpised to see Spinel, a trainer with whom he had battled with earlier today, standing there with a Raichu.

"Hey Spinel, so you're my opponent, cool I can't wait to see you in action again. Wow, did is that Emi on your shoulder? I can't believe that she evolved already. Okay, I'm going to try my best in this battle."

With that, he drew out a pokeball from inside of his vest and called out Alexander, his dratini. Alexander gauged his surroundings and noticed that the Bulbasaur that was to be his next opponent seemed to be waiting for him to make the first move.

"Alright Alex, you're faster so we go first. Start off this battle with a wrap attack!"

Alexander reeled back as he was struck and rolled a few feet before rising back up to face his enemy. He looked a bit bruised but ready for more action.

"Alex, that was a pretty strong attack, but you're doing fine and this battle's nowhere near over."

Alexander nodded back in approval and readied himself to attack at Frederic's command. Frederic felt a little worried at this point but tried not to show it.

"Alright Alex, this time, use pound!"

As the vines headed towards Alexander, he attempted to move out of the way in order avoid the attack. He did so with moderate sucess, with the vines only grazing his body doing a bit of damage. Still undeterred, Alexander steadied himself again.

"Alex, you're doing great, attack with pound again!"

The leech seed attack was very small but that made it difficult to dodge completely as was shown when a few of the seeds were able to hit Alexander as he was trying to dodge doing a bit of damage.

"Alright Alex, that last attack was tricky, but you still look fine. Time to kick this battle up a notch. Focus on your attack and use wrap!"

Alexander felt his body tense up as he sprung into action using his fluid body to try and wrap the enemy bulbasaur.

The vines came at Alexander yet again and connected a few times before the dratini was able to get out of the way.

"Alex, keep your head up, it's still early in the battle. Don't let a few hits get to you. You're one of the strongest pokemon that I know. So don't give up."

Alexander felt encouraged at the words of his trainer and steadied himself to attack again.

"Alright, this time, use take down!"

Springing forward, Alexander lunged at Twiggy.

Alexander took major damage as twiggy collided with him with his take down. He was much worse for wear looked pretty beaten up.

"Alexander, I believe in you, don't give up. You're still in this."

Hearing his trainer call out to him, Alexander struggled a bit but steadied himself as he waited for the next command.

"Okay Alex, concentrate, I know you're strong so use tackle attack!"
