Ah, a new role-play in the world we have created. ^_^ This r/p will not correspond with the original, but the characters (such as the prince) are still known about. So in short- new topic, new r/p, new possibilites.

((I'm going out on a limb with this here.... but I want to try to get the thread a jump. ^_^;; ))

It had been ten years before the coronation ceremony of the Angel Kingdom. The time was the time of good harvests and peace- at least, that was what the king told during the ceremonies or festivals. It was well known, though, that there was war going on on the outside world. Men, even women, disappeared in the night with only a simple letter telling their family that the king needed their assistance.

Odon had been one of those people.

Although.... he really wasn't suited for the military life.

He prefered to be outside in the open- fields, rivers, waterfalls, forests, anywhere there was nature and true peace. He was told, and he even knew, that his head was in the clouds and not on earth where it was supposed to be. He was supposed to be in the king's militia, he was supposed to be married with children of his own, he was supposed to use his magic for good.

But he didn't.

It was too much trouble.

The Angel, instead, prefered to wander around the land of his origin and this is where we meet up with him- on the border of the Angel land and Dragon land, pack thrown over his shoulder, hair only brushed with his fingers and a few quick strokes. "Well," he mutters to himself, looking at the invisible boundary line, "it doesn't look too bad.... Maybe there will be something interesting there?" He took a step forward, but froze before his foot hit the ground. "Or should I....?" For someone who was always in the clouds, he made decisions at an agonizing pace that was irratating to most.

Odon shook his head and turned around. "And what, pray tell," he continues to himself, "am I going to do in the Dragon land? Wait for an early death?" The Angel laughed nervously and found himself again at the invisible border. "Oh dear, what am I doing back?"

The Angel tried to turn around yet his body moved not. Instead, his attention was caught by two chipmunks chasing one another between the lands. A smile crossed his face.

And then he blinked.

A large hawk came swooping down and plucked one of the chipmunks right as it leaped in the air. Odon's face remained in the smile. "It's a sign, I say, a sign I shouldn't go." His body moved stiffly back into the safety of his Angel land, ignoring the cries of the chipmunk that was now alone.

Another hawk appeared out of nowhere but Odon caught sight of it this time. He dove with wonderful grace and grabbed the animal before the large bird could with its powerful talons. "Ha!" he cried out as though he was "ha-ing" at fate.

"Little creature," he sang, "what are you doing in such dangerous parts?" He soothed the shaking of the small animal. "Your place is in the woods where you are safe." Odon stood, cradling the chipmunk in the crook of his arm. He readjusted his bag and took on a brave face.

"I shall go on!" He raised his free arm and stomped into the Dragon lands, feeling no different as he had anticipated. "Well, this is quite... normal," he mused, trudging along. He was glad that there were no guards or bandits to chase him off. So much could be accomplished as he braved the... "unknown" land. Fake tears sprang into his eyes. "No adventure..."

Although he could be described as a chicken, he craved the adreneline of fear and great deeds of good. It made him feel powerful and known even though he was far from his false intrepretation of his life.

A long wave of hair caught his eye. It disappeared into a nearby forest, only leaving him to question what could have such bright red hair so close to the Angel Kingdom. "My, my," he told the now sleeping chipmunk, "a fair maiden? Or imp? Or perhaps a great god of old?" He jogged towards the woods and shivered as the sudden shade pierced his clothes with coldness. The long locks of hair caught his eye once again and he chased after it with more speed, huffing along with the sudden exercise. "Fair maiden!" he called out.

Lepho watched as the Angel boy chased after to red-haired imp, or so he called the little sneaky thing. He had slept in the forest the night before, hoping to have shelter away from the battles only a few miles away, what he didn't expect was to wake up and find the "imp" running off into the forest with his bags that carried most of his maps and small weapons. It was truly annoying.

His eyes were blood-shot from staying up, watching for the "imp", waiting to cut that precious hair of hers as punishment for taking his things. "Foolish boy," he muttered from a distance away, pulling his cloak closer as he started near the two. "She'll only take you deeper and deeper until she has your heart." He had heard stories about such creatures, although he didn't believe them.

Stories were like love- unrealistic and hardly trustworthy.

Odon stopped, suddenly feeling watched and chased after. "Well... who is it that is being chased? The person with the red hair or myself?" He laughed nervously, arousing the chipmunk only briefly. "Let us take a breather, I don't think I can run another step." He flopped down on the ground, letting his body lean against a tree. Tiredness suddenly over-came him. "It seems.... I feel... tired...." His eyes drooped closed as he fell into a deep slumber.

The woman with the red hair peered closely into the Angel's face, head cocked to the side. She purred in curiosity, picking at the Angel's hair.

Lepho jerked back the girl's red hair, a glare seeming to be stuck on his face. "You have something of my, little imp." He pulled more until she was off balance. "And you have less than a minute to give me a reason why I shouldn't cut your precious hair in half." The man took out a knife and pressed it against the imp's hair.

Ngasa, a.k.a the "imp", jumped away and behind the tree the Angel was leaning against. Her pure silver eyes glared at this strange man. How did he catch her so fast and without her feeling his prescence? The pure dragon blinked slowly, fascinated and fearful of Lepho. She disappeared into the tree and came back with a satchel in tow. She threw it to him, knowing that the weapons he carried would do her no good in the future. She bunched her hair close to her face, pouting at his words of cutting such clean and soft tendrels. She stuck her tongue out at the man, disappearing once again into the tree with abilites of a skilled cat or chipmunk.

The Angel slept peacefully with a calm look on his precious face.

Lepho swirled the dagger and placed it in his jacket, carefully taking his bag and throwing it over his shoulders. "What a strange creature," he mumbled (the imp, not Odon). The man looked at the Angel with a curious face. "What is an Angel doing so close to Dragon country?" he wandered aloud, bending down to the young man. "And such a defenseless and rather dumb looking one too." He poked Odon's cheek rather harshly. "Oi, get your lazy butt up or that spell she threw at you will make you sleep for years."

Ngasa looked at Lepho, hanging upside down in the tree, her red hair trailing to the ground like a firey waterfall. "No it won't," she said, her whispery voice could make anyone smile. "That's a different spell." She easily flipped so she was on all four, next to the Angel. "He's just tired." She crawled onto his lap and kissed Odon.

The Angel stood up, spilling the girl onto the forest floor. "I'm up!" he proclaimed with a raised fist. He blinked a few times and looked at Lepho. "Who are you?" His eyes caught Ngasa's confused eyes. "Ah! The girl!" Odon leaped behind Lepho, pointing at her. "Keep away from me! She wanted me to sleep for eternity!"

The girl balked. "So I lied...." She pinched her fingers. "Just an insy-bit?" She gave them an innocent smile.

Odon rose an eyebrow, blinking to clear his mind. "Lie? About what?"

Lepho pushed the Angel away, glaring at the two. These two were merely children compared to him. He had seen the days of war for almost his entire life until leaving suddenly. "She was lying to me, Angel." He grabbed Ngasa's arm roughly so she couldn't slink away. "You'll fetch a mighty good price." The hunter's aqua gold eyes sparked with the lust of gold in his empty purse. He could finally have a full meal without having to hunt for it. "Now, sir, your kingdom is that way." He pointed to where Odon had come from. "If you continue going your path, you surely will be killed with your stupidity and airheadedness." Although Lepho was mostly a sourpuss or rockhead, he had the tendency to make words up....

Ngasa began to fight the hunter's strong hold. "Let me go!" she shrilled, biting into his arm, drawing blood. She had already been to the islands and never wanted to go back. "Please," she pleaded the Angel, "don't let him take me! I promise not to hurt you!"

Odon bit his lower lip, trying to contemplate the possibilities. If he helped the girl, the big nasty man would hurt him. If he didn't, he would be forced to return to the Angel kingdom a few measly steps away.

"I swear by the Great One's name that I will be your humble servant if you free me!"

The Angel pried Lepho's grip from the girl's wrist. He tossed her over his shoulder with hidden strength and raced back to his kingdom. There were safe houses that would protect them both from a hunter's wrath. He crossed the invisible border where he had saved the chipmunk. He remembered seeing a safe house just a mile ahead. The chipmunk peeked out of his shirt and shrieked at the girl.

Ngasa shooed away the animal, hissing with a single fang.

The hunter wanted to strangle the children.

He pulled out a dagger and hid it in his sleeve and palm. He went on the chase, not knowing why he was doing such a foolish thing. There would be more obedient and more beautiful women that he could take to the islands, or even to the dragon land. So why was he so intent on getting this particular woman? No possible explanation could come to mind as he came closer to the pesky angel who had taken his prize. "If you want a dagger in your back, I'd advise you to keep running!" he called out, readying the dagger.

She stands between them and the safe house, hidden within her hooded cloak. Her femininity is obvious despite the cloak's concealment. The dragon doesn't feel at all threatened. Two of her guards hide nearby. One on either side of her. Her multi colored eyes, hidden in the shadows of her hood, look towards her head guard. She fears nothing with her blue knight by her side. The elf to her left is more for company than protection since Kinj is with them. She turns her hidden eyes back to those approaching, finding their actions quite strange.

Lepho's sense went completely alert and he hid the dagger back in it's original place. He grabbed a low branch and swung himself into the tree, watching the two still heading towards the cloaked woman. "Tsk," he muttered, "I'll get that beauty later."
