I reckon people need to get over themselves and stop calling people newbs. I try explaining to people what a real newb is, but they're ignorant and just don't want to know the truth. sad

J4K07 I reckon under levels 30s are noobs because they still seem to be a bit dumb about what to do on runescape.... What Do You Think... Comment Now! It's based on how they act really. Some lower levels have more merit than higher ones S: I'm level 6, I get called noob alot. But it's not really a big deal for me p:

I find that the word noob is now an insult rather like a level thing....anyway i dont really call people noobs... if see someone tell someone else there a noob (well sometimes lol) i say "you were a noob once." anyway the lvl i call people noobs are lvl 0 to 2 lol

I also dislike the term noob. I think it's completely unbased on level and dependent on the way they act instead. For instance, I can't stand a lvl 72 standing in a bank yelling, "Someone give me 10k, i need money please, I'm broke!!" That just makes no sense to me. Begging will always be a scornful act, no matter the level.
I also don't see any sense in all these high levels walking around calling the 'actual' noob players so. I mean, it is by far the worst manners I have seen and there is nothing you're gaining by doing so. Okay, this person is new, I get it. So instead of insulting and poking fun at them, why don't you help them out? I remember when I used to hang out at Lumbridge and adopt one for the hell of it. I'd hang out with them for a day, give them some items I don't need, even help them with their first quest; and send them on their way. My point is, why the random name-calling? It's abusive, horribly rude and pointless. Find a better use of your time.

Ok let's get one thing straight...
Newb: A new player. Someone who doesn't quite know what they're doing in a game and is trying to learn how it goes. I was a newb.
Noob: A new player who isn't interested in actually learning anything, hence the "plx im pooooor!!!11!!!!!1111" behaviour that everone hates. Can also just be an idiot, and as such it doesn't matter if the noob is level 3 or level 126...
For the record, I think that:
3 - 30 is classed as a new player 31 - 50 has been there long enough to know what's going on 51 - 60 is no longer really classed as a "newb" 61 - 80 is experienced 80 and beyond really know their stuff. cool One would hope...
