Personality
A person’s first impression of Adrian would be he wasn’t a bad guy. He’s not the type of pirate who’s a badass all the time. In fact, he acts quite nice. Course, taking into account that he is a pirate, most people say he’s just trying not to stand out too much. A person causing trouble will bring down upon him people of authority he does not want. Some who’ve met him believe he’s nice all on his own. They say his act isn’t one of a fake. In truth, he is perhaps neither or both. His attitude is kinder than most of his profession, but it is a mask for what he hides deeper within. He has a pirate’s disregard for others, though he doesn’t enjoy killing if he can avoid it. It is a useless waste of time and most childish to strike down someone who doesn’t need it. Perhaps this is an unconscious act of compassion, perhaps not.

Backgrounds With Certain People
Captain Silvertooth – Named for the silver crafted tooth replacing one of his front teeth, this old Captain is the first and only known part of Adrian’s past. If prompted, he will either ignore the question or get irritated and tell the person off. It is known that a 13-year-old boy stowed away on the Captain’s ship, to be found hours later when the cook when down to the storage rooms for ingredient for supper, finding a tiny boy huddled amongst a mess of bones and apple cores. Always up to having more cabinboys, Silvertooth hired on the boy, never asking where he came from or why he stowed away. Even as a 13-year-old boy treading dangerous waters on a pirate ship, Adrian was not one to be overlooked or become just another face in the crowd. He made sure he was always somewhere near the Captain. Although it earned him whippings when he got a little too close, he never gave up. Eventually his hard work paid off. The Captain started allowing him to get closer and closer. They began bonding. Silvertooth became fond of the little boy who stowed away on his ship. Adrian had spunk. Courage. Ambitions. Determination. The Captain admired the boy for his mature qualities. Qualities that would take him far in the pirate world. Before long, he thought of the child like a son. The Captain started giving Adrian private lessons in combat, navigation, and any other skills he’d need. It didn’t take the boy long to master these skills. At 16, he could fight with the best of them and even take on the Captain. Silvertooth was so proud, he failed to notice the change within Adrian. He became less friendly towards the Captain. Less the innocent boy, more a true pirate. He wanted to join in on the fights more and more, take part in the raids. Foolishly, the Captain allowed him, giving him a taste of the life. The Captain, still blind to the young boy’s changing personality, did not realize what it meant when Adrian came to his cabin late one night with sword in hand. Silvertooth was awoken by the sound of the young man’s boots on the wood, despite how carefully Adrian tried to walk. He challeneged the older man to a duel, knowing he would never pass one up and knowing he’d be affected by sleep for a while after waking up. His original plan was to murder the man in his sleep. Long story short, Adrian triumphed over the older man, taking over the ship and its crew. Knowing what a fighter the young man was, the crew dared not fight back. The old Captain’s body was thrown over the side and a new era began.
