We ran into an issue. stare (Stupid Gaia.) If you sent a join request earlier, please resubmit it so we will be sure to see you when we open on September 1!
I am planning a strange event in my charity guild, and I need all the food and drink I can get my hands on. o.0
So send me your salads, your lobster, your turkey. Send me your pizzas and cola bottles. I want it all! (Yum, yum!)
Of course we are still accepting all other forms of donations too. Thank you!
Hello, my fellow DTTPAYers!
This is not going to be an elaborate quest thread, because I am devoting much of my spare time on Gaia to preparing my charity guild for the grand opening on September 1st!
I am doing everything out of my own pocket so far, but I am not above shameless begging in this thread to see what else I can pull together for my charity.
While gold, of course, is always helpful, I am very much in need of the following:
CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES ... absolutely anything helps! This is perhaps the most important item for me right now.
Furniture
Trash, bugs, fish, and flowers
Tokens and tickets
Prizes for giveaways? Right now all I can think of is letters and money. Any other suggestions?
Guild members. wink (Although I am not accepting members until September 1, feel free to send a join request now. Also, please feel free to browse the guild and offer comments or suggestions by PM. It is under heavy construction, but you will get the general idea.)
Please send donations to the guild mule (treefrog500).
I will put a donor list in the guild.

I would definitely appreciate anything you have to offer; just send a trade to treefrog500. I'm starting my donors "Wall of Fame" today, so I look forward to putting your name on it. wink
I certainly hope you will post a quest thread when you enter the guild. There will be lots of giveaways (I'm still adding to the list) on September 8, so hopefully I'll be seeing you around, LOL!

Thank you SO INCREDIBLY MUCH! It's so nice of you to help out. The clothes and furniture will go to the "Adopt a Newbie" program, and the gold and tokens to the general fund to be applied to quests as needed.

LOL, you're my biggest supporter, and I haven't even opened yet. xd Thanks for checking in.
Things are moving along fabulously. I have the basic structure of the guild complete, a few people who have put in join requests (must ... recruit ... more!), and a small supply of some of the most random clothing and furniture you could imagine.
Now I spend the next month working up funds and donation items, puzzling toward my own quest because I diverted my funds to the charity, and buying my August letters for the giveaways. Woot!
Could I ask a HUGE favor? eek I had one person tell me she couldn't view the guild because it is private, but that shouldn't be the case. Non-members should be able to view but not post. Will you please let me know if you are able to see the guild forums? The guilds were glitching for a while and I'm hoping that people will be able to see my giveaway posting if I link it.
I am also looking for a moderator to help me keep the flock in line when we open ... would you be interested in the position? It's a salaried position (LOL!) at 250 gold per week. It's not a lot, but it makes 1000 extra gold a month toward your quests. 4laugh

Oh, good. Now I can link people straight to the giveaway page without worrying about them hitting a dead end. Because we all know that giveaways are the serious draw. rolleyes Hopefully once I hook them I can keep them. LOL! blaugh Awww ... thankies for offering to advertise. I need all the help I can get. But for now I have hastily made banners. xp They get the job done. As for moderating, basically all I would need you to do is keep an eye out for postings that need to be deleted (against TOS, flamers/harassers, etc.). You wouldn't need to read all the postings (LOL!); just check in once in a while and peruse so you might catch something I miss. Or if you see something that's obviously out of place (like a quest thread on the main page), you can move it where it belongs. I'll go ahead and accept your join request early so I can change your status from a regular member. Until the guild starts to grow, I think the two of us would be able to manage it.
