Name: Lorne Whisper (birth surname unknown to most)
Age: 19
Class: the unemployed thief
Occupation: bard (and undetected pickpocket?)
Description: Unusually tall and slender at 5'9", Lorne wears a old blue kirtle that she cut off above the knee, now resembling a minstrel’s tunic. Underneath, she wears a tunic of forest green with long bell-shaped sleeves. Her wavy hair is a pretty auburn, but is cut short, right beneath her chin. With her floppy plumed minstrel’s hat pulled rakishly over her dancing blue eyes, it is hard to tell whether she is a man or a woman. Her chin is pointed, and her delicate nose turns up slightly at the end.
Lorne carries her lyre strung across back on an embroidered strap. To the observer’s eye, she is unarmed, but wears seven concealed daggers under her clothing which are easily reached at the first sign of danger. Around her neck she wears a strange silver symbol that somewhat reminds one of a stag.
Background: Originally born as the 2nd daughter of Count Hason Lividorin, Lorne was the overlooked child. Her parents doted on her older brother, expected to be the next count of Fifaine, and her younger brother, due to enter the government. Left to her own devices, Lorne spent most of her time growing up in the city surrounding her palace home, learning from thieves and sailors alike. She considered these lessons more essential then her erratic schooling at home. The lower city looked after Lorne: taught her to hide in a crowd, play the lyre, and listen to silence.
Until the fateful day her older brother was disowned for involvement with a maid, legally passing the family's responsibilities to Lorne. Not wishing the life of a noble for herself, she fled, cutting her hair and turning an old kirtle into a dress-like tunic. Dressed as such, Lorne was free to blend in, passing herself off as a boy or a girl. Her parents believe her dead, her younger brother now the only Lividorin heir left.
County of Origin: Fifaine
