This is very much a W I P and most of the content is just brainstorming. I'll rewrite it in nice, paragraph form in due time. Comments, critique, and suggestions are still welcome and loved, though.

NAME Born Gwenneth Caldecote, she now goes almost solely by her pet name 'Manu'.

GENDER Female

AGE 19

SIGN Simurgh, the Poenix

RACE Human

HOMETOWN Sasanka

OCCUPATION Guild Hopeful, sailor, ex-island princess, and overall Adventure Seeker. Does the odd job exterminating pesky critter infestations.

APPEARANCE
- Tall, lanky and skinny, with a complete lack of upper body muscles. However, she has strong, lean legs.
- Big, dark green eyes [colour]
- Round, impish face and small, pointed nose. [face shape]
- Wide, lopsided grin.
- Bone septum piercing [good width, but an unbroken ring] ~12g, to be technical, and one gold studs in each ear lobe.
- Sun bleached, poker-straight blond hair littered with coral and wooden beads and small braids. The bulk of it is held back with a dark blue silk scarf. When she needs her hair to be out of the way she will wind the scarf about it completely, similar to a turban. Her bangs frame her face and are never pulled back. [Extremely similar to Rikku] When pulled back, her hair only reaches the nape of her neck.
- Extremely golden-tan skin with barely visible freckles across her nose and cheeks. [shade]
- To do: clothing, pendant, & mini-tiki-totem, hurrah!.

PERSONALITY
- Optimistic, cheery, outgoing, and extroverted.
- A bit clueless and naive when it comes to the serious matters of life and the dangers of the world, she tends to rush into situations before thinking about the repercussions or her actions.
- The only exception to this is the ocean: her father drilled into her head that you must always respect and be wary of the ocean and regard it as a very mercurial beast. So no play fighting on deck, if you please.
- As a side note, she does not regard her poisons and darts as requiring any special handling or safety precautions. D:!
- She is very mischievous, and enjoys sneaking up on people. Her stealthiness, a side-product of her blow-dart training, comes in handy here.
- Spending her teenage years on an tribal island has made her very superstitious.
- Namu hates sitting still and discussing serious matters with a passion. Because of this some may accuse her of being immature.
- She has a very laid-back set of morals, and wouldn't be against lightly tranq'ing, as she calls it, an innocent merchant, so long as you're hungry, penniless, and only take one or two cinnamon rolls.
- Namu prides herself on being able to make even the most stony-faced troll smile at the corners.
- She has absolutely no etiquette training and her manners are in shambles; she puts her poor old mother to shame. If Namu feels like something important must be said, she'll butt right in and say it. She burps, laughs too loud, slouches, can't manage to keep food on her plate when eating with utensils, and always forgets to introduce herself. Basically she is the bane of every proper lady and gent.
- She has a great coping philosophy. "Run away from your problems, Aludra's a big place."
- To do: her fears & insecurities.

HISTORY For some reason, I felt like using 1st person. That must go.
- Born in Sasanka.
- Dad says, "Hey, wife and child, you shall accompany me on my next sailing expedition! Woo!" She is ~ 8 years of age.
- Oh my: after sailing the seas with her family and crew for a year or so they become shipwrecked on a very small, obscure island somewhere on their route to Esprevere. It's not even on their map! :c
- Inhabitants (human, think native Hawaiian-slash-Polynesian culture) treat the family and crew like royalty and train Gwenneth to hunt using a blow gun and poison darts. She also is schooled in poisons and antidotes of plant origin.
- Originally, her parents' pet name for her was Little Birdie for no particular reason other than they were quite typical parents. As the groups traded languages, her pet name was converted to their language; Li'i Mele Manu, or Manu for short. This is what all the islanders called her, and it stuck.
- Years pass, and finally a ship happens across the tiny island. Namu's parents, who have grown old, chose to stay and live out the rest of their years on the island. The girl, however, wants to see the world, and joins the ship's crew, sails around with them as a deckhand, and finally arrives back at Sasanka to do some adventuring on land. She is ~18 years of age.
- Travels around, almost always on foot, running errands for villagers, tranquilizes a few ruffians and a shop keeper, and finally, while in Camacho, learns about the Asterion league and decides that she wants in.

COMMON KNOWLEDGE
- To do: all of this.

DIVISION Ranged

CLASS PROGRESSION Haumana -> Hahai -> Pau Lehia

Haumana At this stage she does not use strong poison on her darts. Her damage is not remarkable, but the fact that she fights with a pan flute instead of a traditional blow-gun means she can attack multiple targets at once. She can also contribute to a fight with her slight knowledge of healing herbs and antidotes.
0/4/1 --- HP: 35 --- EVADE: 14

Hahai This one depends on what her final jobs ends up being.
She is more skillful, and she now applies potent poisons to the tips of her darts. Her knowledge of the mamillian body is greater now, as is her aim, and she can put these to good use by targeting points on her foe where poison will work it's course fastest such as the breast above the heart, the spine, and the nape of the neck.
0/8/2 --- HP: 40 --- EVADE: 18

Pau Lehia Deadly accuracy and an encyclopedia of knowledge on healing herbs and deadly poisons make her a strong foe as long as she doesn't have to stand toe-to-toe with her enemy. As well, as a seasoned fighter she has mastered injecting the right amount of the right poison into just the right vital area or joint to induce maximum damage. This puts her target through a great deal of sustained suffering though, which still leaves her feeling squeamish and slightly guilty.
0/11/4 --- HP: 50 --- EVADE: 23

SPECIAL SKILLS

Racial Freebie Bandage (15. First-Aid)
Heal a target for d6 +1/+2/+3.

Stage 1 Scatter Shot (07. Attack Multiple Targets)
-2 penalty to your total (total damage done?) per additional enemy targeted.

Stage 2 Spinal Shot (19. Attack Vital Area)
Roll 2 d20s. The first determines success and damage, while the second determines if the following takes effect::
Level 2: 1-17 >> No additional damage, 18-20 >> Opponent takes an additional 6 points of damage.
Level 3: 1-16 >> No additional damage, 17-20 >> Opponent takes an additional 9 points of damage.

Stage 3 Venom (05. Poison)
Causes continued damage over a sustained period of time.
Level 3: -9 damage for 3 turns.

NARRATIVE SKILLS
- To do: all of this, too.

WEAPON Poisoned darts and a simple wooden panflute about the size of her palm that she uses as a blow-gun. [flute]

LEVEL 1

POINT ASSIGNMENT 0/5/0

HIT POINTS 35

EVADE 14

OTHER NOTES I used a Hawaiin-English dictionary for her pet name and job classes. Roughly, Li'i Mele Manu is Little Songbird, and her job classes are simply Student, Hunter, and Expert, respectively. I imagine the islanders would class their hunters and warriors by simple skill level, so yeah, just fancy takes on Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. P:

This looks like a raelly cute character. I'm very fond of playing "tribal" characters, although most of mine are completely native rather than Tarzan-style "white man in the jungle." Where are her parents? Did they stay with the islanders?
