I know this might sound crazy to most of you... and I've been researching around about your illness. I know that I might be intruding your guild and such. I hope that this doesn't make you mad. I've been wondering lately... Can any of you explain how you become a bipolar, or get the illness? I know you could also get it because one of your blood relatives has had it, correct? or has it. I was also wondering if you guys would also explain your feelings about having it as well. T_____T oh god, i feel like an idiot../3
[If you get mad I'll understand!]

First of all, please don't bump. biggrin
Second of all- I'm not entirely sure why we get bipolar. For some, its brought on by long-term substance abuse, like my husband. For some, it simply develps over time as a chemical imbalance in the brain(abnormal levels of endorphins-which make you happy-and serotonin-which regulates depression...or which makes you depressed...I forget. sweatdrop )For others, it's situational.
Hope that helped?

My shrink said that it sometimes happens to people that undergo large amounts of stress and it just kind of gets to them.

Genetics. I think I read that in some people bipolar is brought out by something happening, But it was already in the genes. [So it was triggered, you know?] And others with it in their genes just have it..? xfkvn;gfcb
I can't explain myself. :/
I'm pretty sure I get it from my mother. And how do I feel about it..? Well it's not something I enjoy. It pisses me off, sometimes. And if something you do is because of it, You can't really apologize to a friend by saying 'sorry I'm bipolar.'
It's frustrating. Having feelings of like, Ultimate sadness. And there's no cause to it. You can't say 'this is what made me sad.' and point to some event that happened. Cause there's nothing really there. It makes me feel like I complain too much and like I'm just whiney, I guess.
And while manic I can't even fully enjoy myself. It's like everything around is moving too slow and everything inside is moving too fast.
Sorryyydfbn I don't know if I'm making sense. :/ I give up.
