here we go i finally figured out how i wanted to do this given gaia's limited dice system...

the system is turn based and initial roll will be taken to decide who goes first this roll will be performed by the over seeing elder (crew/captain)...

all rules subject to change as needed in accordance to fare play.

when all beginner and intermediate rules are ready arenas and sub forums will be placed..

as for wining.

there are three categories...

Style... literacy... and obviously damage...

style:

decided by vote as to how you handel blocking, evading, and attacking...

Literacy:

can we read your posts easily or are we having to figure out wtf you meant to type and did you using seven homonyms instead of one word ( he drew his huge massive large immence sword) after we get the idea the first word k?

Damage:

who won according to the dice.

every one shall have 50-200 hp depending on level...

ok here it is.. the only way i can think of to make this thing work is to let people decide how to use the number of assigned attack and block points they have.. also there will be evasion points...

here we go every one even me and the other elders will get 50 points for beginner arenas*, 100 points for inter*. and 200 for advanced*...

in other words there are 3 different dice types.. and building your hp is required to get from one arena to the next...

every one will start with:

HP-50
AP-25
BP-25
EP-25
MP-25
SM-0
WM-0
now i will explain what all this means

HP (hit points):

this is the amount of damage you can take before you must admit defeat.

AP (attack points):

this is the amount of total attack points you can use in battle (yes you can keep fighting if you run out but your chances of winning are slim)...

BP (block points):

this is the ammount of force you can apply against an attack... if your block roll matches the opponent's attack roll, b4b,(blow for blow) nothing happens.. but if it is less than the attack roll, b4b, the over flow from the attack is what is deducted from your HP... if your block roll is greater than the attack roll, b4b, you get no damage taken and you inflict a lil on the attacker like a counter attack... this process is called over flow damage...

EP (evasion points):

This is a dodge... it works the same way a block does...

MP (magic points):

this also works like attack and dodge... this is more usefull later as i can enhace other atributes for a single turn however to use them in that mannor means leaving your self open...

for example if you use the magic to attack the other person must use magic to block... if you use magic to augment one of your other stats for the next turn... the other person still gets to roll for their attack... or if you use mp instead of blocking you'll get hit full force...

i'll try to explain this more later..

SM (speed modifier):

this is added to all of your rolls (except magic)

WM (Weapon modifier):

this is added only to rolls that involve the use of a weapon or shield...

Note: your speed modifier will be effected by your weapon modifier im not sure how to do this yet but i will figure it out...

But Ryou How The Hell Does This Work!?

well if you're with me so far get ready to be confused... if you're already confused just ask a specific question and i will try to answer it..

here how this all works..

the over seeing judge will roll a die.(this is also the prize for winning the number can be dispersed among your points however you choose) then the two or more combatants will make an introductory post.. it can be trash talk or an entrance or what ever and roll the same die as the judge.. who ever gets closest to the judges roll will go first and so on.. (do not break turn sequence!)

the first player (P1) will roll for attack or magic.. here's where things get funky.. i'll try to keep it as simple as i can for you..

your point are the total amount of a single die's largest number or the sum of several smaller die's cast either together or separately largest possible outcome..

Example:

P1: rolls 1d25

or

P1: rolls 5d5

the rest is rather self explained and i shouldn't have to bother explaining further untill i work out the weapon to speed modifiers..

one more thing on how you do your posts.. all actions are to be phrased as if they have yet to be made as in:

P1 rolls 1d6 = 5
Swings his sword towards her abdomen..

P2 rolls 1d6 = 6
Jumps backwards to avoid the slash of his blade..

after this P2 Would get a counter attack post (no roll) as the over flow would be dealt now..

and then P2 take his/her attack turn.

however if it goes the other way P2 would simply incorporate his/her reaction to the damage inflicted in a normal attack post with the roll..

P1 does like wise...

in the unlikely event of a stale mate... well i leave that to you to figure out be creative and get your fight on!
