-The Plot-
Guess who's back?
If you guessed Sephiroth, you're wrong in everyway imaginable. If you guessed Mr. Tonberry, you are even more wrong.
If you guessed... Jenova, you are getting warmer.
ShinRa's back with a vengeance, and so is everyone's favourite virus. They've teamed up too. President Rufus has been come infected with the virus willingly, and is becoming more monstrous everyday. He's reviving ShinRa Inc. slowly but surely brainwashing and killing all in his path, including Bugenhagen, who has mysteriously reappeared.
Plus, everyone's favourite top SOLDIER, Zack is back. But instead of being wholesome and good. He's somehow been brainwashed into thinking Jenova is his mother, and he's doing all of its dirty work, becoming more powerful with every murder and job. His mind has warped into thinking Sephiroth was his brother, and he must avenge his death. Unfortunately for the good guys, Zack has become a super-power, exceeding all of Sephiroth's power. He has also become the keeper of a new, 'Chaos-Revive' Materia; its use is a mystery to its holder, and to the Planet itself.
AVALANCHE has under-gone serious change. Still called AVALANCHE but bigger and stronger. After Meteor and Sephiroth, Barret stepped down as leader, and Cloud has taken his place. Barrett is still now a large part of the anti-ShinRa group, along with Tifa, Nanaki, Vincent and the Turks. (This includes Cait Sith, now real cat, well talking cat, Reeve is also a part of AVALANCHE.) Tifa is now co-leader of Avalanche and has convinced many other anti-ShinRa, and planet-saving groups to join with AVALANCHE. One of the more famous groups is 'The Wutaiian Ninja's of Shinobi' led by none other than our Yuffie Kisaragi, who returned to Wutaii after Meteor and took over her fathers dojo. She brought back her ninja's who appear to be loyal, but are they deceiving AVALANCHE?
Our lovely Aeris has returned, in the hands of Zack. She has joined sides with him, willingly we might add. She's willing to bring down all her old friends from Avalanche, just to remain with Zack, her true love.
All in all, AVALANCHE yet again needs to save the day, but with problems within the group, will they be able to?

-Announcements- August 27, 2005: RP started.
August 26, 2005: RP created Notes This roleplay takes place one year after FFVII. Anything that would be relating to AC is n/a. That means no Geostigma, no Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo, or anything like that. Nothing will lead up to AC.
In the roleplay, the starting date is November 23.
We encourage members to join as pre-selected characters to begin with. OC's can be added later, after most of the character slots are filled. If you would like to add a character from FFVII, or a character you think the plot needs, please PM me, Teh Teefers. Rules Rule 1:: Literacy ONLY, if you have questions on what's okay and what isn't; please PM Teh Teefers.
Rule 2:: No killing without permission. No godmodding, power-playing or anything like that it's silly.
Rule 3:: Romance is allowed, but no cybering. Everyone is expected to follow the Gaian TOS and R&Gs.
Rule 4:: No out of character posting, we will have a seperate thread for that when the RP begins.
Rule 5: One liners are simply not tolerated. surprised
Rule 6:: Please do not post if you are not in the RP. 3nodding

Things had been slow lately. With ShinRa down Avalanche was mostly down to simple mercenary jobs, escorts and the like. They were also taking other protective measures for the planet.
The mansion was a good place for headquarters, it was a large building so most of the members could fit, and possibly stay if they had no where else to go.
Cloud's main office was in the "Safe" Room (ya know, with the safe). While it once held the key to Vincent's room, it now held the money of Avalanche (they weren't non-profit after all).
Cloud got out of his chair and walked out from behind his desk. Most of the people were out on jobs so the mansion was fairly empty. The mansion brought back some bad memories, of Sephiroth and the like. He walked across the the entrance and over to the downstairs passage. He opened the door and walked down the spiral staircase that amazingly still stood to this day.
He reached the bottom and walked into the library.
"This....is where it all started." he said to himself. He walked to the back of the room and sat down behing the desk, "When he lost his mind..."

A small storm was brewing over Mt. Nibel and Nibelheim, and the wind was picking up, not too much. Tifa looked up from watering a small plant in the main room of the Mansion, and towards the window. She sighed impatiently, and set the watering can down.
Days like this were boing for the most part. Barely anyone was in, besides Cloud and herself. Tifa sighed inwardly, as she walked towards Cloud's office. "Cloud?" She opened the door and peeked her head in. No one was there. Wierd, she thought, ever since Barret had stepped down, and Cloud took over AVALANCHE, he had basically no free-time. She looked in the small kitchen, no one. Then peered into the lounge, le empty.
She looked at the hallway that lead to the spiral staircase, which Tifa never went down. Maybe once or twice to grab a supply or two, but never to actually look around. "Maybe..." She whispered to herself, and walked towards the downstairs passage, and opened up the door. Tifa slid into the room quietly, and carefully, hoping that the delicate wood did not break.
Swiftly, she walked down the stairs, worrying with everystep they would crack and fall. The basement ground was moist, and loamy, supplies were stacked against the cool stone walls. Tifa stepped slowly, before noticing the library light on. She walked towards the light, and stepped into the dim library. "Cloud?" She called out.
All those books, those musty old colourful books. Tifa looked up at them in wonder, never had she seen so many books, as she never cared to come down her. "Wow.." she muttered.

Rufus stood facing toward back wall of his office, which was a one way mirrion. He held his wrists behind his back as he peer down into the streets of Midgar. A parade was going on as ShinRa soldiers and officers smiled and waved at citizens. Everybody seemed enthusiastic, soldiers and townspeople alike. He smiled. All was going well it seemed. Everybody's moral was boosted and ShinRa was on its way to reclaim it title of the most powerful and successful company on the planet. Now that he had injected with the virus, it seemed like nothing could stop him and Avalanche was just another dust in the wind. The new, reborn ShinRa was unstoppable.

Cloud saw Tifa down at the end of the library. He stood up and walked over and stood right behind her. He waved his hand in a "Hello" motion, "Hey Tifa."

Tifa peered over her shoulder, then turned around. When she saw Cloud she smiled. "There you are!" She brushed a small lock of hair out of her face, "I couldn't find you so I figured you were down here."

"Was there something you needed me for? It's not often you search me out." Cloud said this as he walked back down the hallway towards the desk. He didn't always act this way, but he had to be even MORE of a leader now, he was the head of AVALANCHE, which was now bigger than it used to be.

"No, nothing in particular, no one's here and I didn't have a job today." Tifa followed him down the hallway, "I think it is going to snow finally, too." She sat down on the desk, and looked at all the books stacked around the room.

"Snow huh? How long has been since that happened here? It's almost like a sign of peace, things are finally the way they should be..."
Cloud walked over and down on top of the desk, "Ya know, in all the time we've had this as our base, I've never once read any of the books down here. Sure we know some of the stuff is lies, but it couldn't hurt. Maybe I'll find out why Sephiroth really went insane, what he read. Also, it wouldn't hurt to know a little bit more about ShinRa now would it?"

Tifa picked up one of the older books on the desk, and set it on her lap. "I think that's a good idea, besides all the lies and everything." She said as she leafed through the book, entitled; 'ShinRa Electric Company; Devine Through the Ages of Electricity and Mako-use.' Tifa sighed lightly, and put the book down.

Cloud moved his hand accross the books on the back wall, scanning over the titles of them. He was mostly looking for something about ShinRa's research on the Cetra, or Jenova.
He stopped on an old looking journal of sorts, The JENOVA Project- Professor Hojo. "Hmmm..." Cloud skimmed through the book, most of it was what they knew, but he had a feeling, he'd find something...
He sat down at the desk and continued to read the book. He was reading it so thoroughly(sp?) that his eyes were beginning to burn, but he had to find it. He had almost finished the book when he found something new, and VERY interesting. He left the book opened to that page and put it down ont he desk.
"I don't believe it. Somehow ShinRa managed to keep a store of Jenova Cells hidden in the building, unknown to all the workers except Hojo....and the President. I guess we have new work for us, we need to get rid of those. If anyone else finds them who KNOWS what they could use them for!"
