I'll start things off. I've been working on this for a little while now.

Chapter 1
Liquid of Life

The world began to cool and darken as the searing sun began to retreat below the horizon, the entrancing and calming moon taking its place. The darkness began to burn with the light of fireflies, and the wolves began to howl their mournful and haunting melodies. It was time for him to rise. It was time for all of them to rise.
In a large graveyard, riddled with tombstones ranging from the elaborate and well crafted to simple and inexpensive slates, the young vampire and his kind burst from the coffins buried under the sickly and dying area. He slowly opened his eyes as the dirt that had encased the coffin that he had lay in fell to the ground as his body broke through and was exposed to the cool night air. A much older vampire approached him, brushing clumps of dirt off of his shoulder, his long black hair flowing in the wind. Donned upon him was an elaborate crimson robe. Thick black threads entwined the robe in graceful curbs, almost as if a slender snake had coiled itself into the fabric. The vampire spoke in a powerful, low voice.
“Art thou ready Seth, my son?”
Seth gave a confident smile, his sharp teeth reflecting the moonlight, and looked up to his father. “Need thy ask Father?”
His father gave a pleased smile. He then walked towards a large boulder, covered with dark green moss. He climbed atop the boulder and outstretched his long slender arms.
“Come to me my kin! Hear my words!”
The many other vampires began to gather around the boulder, their eyes gleaming with hunger and lust.
“Tonight is the night my brothers and sisters. Tonight, we feast on every last human in this village. Tonight, we shall hear the music of their screams as every drop of life pours out of their hearts. And tonight, we take our new home.”
He gestured into the distance. There, atop a hill, sat a castle surrounded by dozens of towering pine trees, more ancient than the castle itself. The large group of vampires cheered in approval, gradually growing more and more anticipant of the nights hunt.
“Now my brothers and sisters, drink every last human in that village!”
The vampires roared in approval. Seth didn’t bother to cheer, and immediately lunged towards the village. In a single bound, he had covered half the distance between the graveyard and the village. The rest of the vampires followed, leaping at such speed that all that was to be seen was a blur. Seth made one more giant leap and landed right at the edge of the village. He then stood and waited for the other bloodthirsty vampires to make their moves. The rest of the vampires bounded over Seth’s head, creating a gust that blew his black hair, which was down to the top of his back, in his face. He brushed it away and began to walk into the town. He had always waited for the other vampires to make their attacks first. It was less likely that he would get trampled by the older, much more powerful vampires. The vampires began to tear at the villager’s buildings without mercy.
Windows were shattered and doors were splintered. In an instant, the quite night air was pierced with blood curdling screams and the maniacal laughs of Seth’s kind as their victims died in their arms, their eyes still wide open in terror. Seth began to walk further down the road, acting much calmer than vampires usually do during their hunts. A building with small sign over it caught Seth’s eye. On it was the carving of a blacksmiths hammer.
“Perhaps I can get a fight out of this human before it becomes nothing more than a corpse.” Seth thought to himself.
He readied himself as he began to advance towards the blacksmith building. Suddenly, five burly men brandishing spears, clubs, and scythes ran out from two alleyways, blocking Seth’s path. They were all dressed in ragged, grey, patched up clothes. In the small villages such as these, it was all the people could afford.
“Not another step vampire,” one of the men spoke “We’re not gonna let you take one more of our fellow villagers.”
Seth gazed at the men with his menacing red eyes. He gave an amused smile as he noticed that they were all trembling. He gave a chuckle and raised his hands in front of his chest. The villager’s eyes widened, a couple of them even moving one of their feet back seemingly in preparation to run, as they gazed upon the sharp, long black nails on Seth’s hands.
“Let’s just see if you can achieve that goal then!” Seth roared, his face twisting with feral glee. He lunged forward at one of the men and cleanly stabbed the nails on one of his hands into the warm flesh of the man’s belly. Without a sound coming out of the man’s mouth, his eyes rolled into the back of his head, and streams of blood began to drizzle out of the wound. After remaining still for a moment, Seth slowly removed his hand from the belly, and the man fell face first onto the ground, motionless. The remaining four villagers gave exasperated gasps as the dirt road around the newly made corpse began to soak up the blood pouring out of the man’s belly. Seth turned to the remaining four, whom were staring at the corpse.
“It seems you failed.” He said coldly
With one swipe of his hand, the rest of the men fell to the ground, dead. Seth stared at the pile of bodies. He gave a spat of distaste.
“They’re blood isn’t even worth drinking.”
He stepped over the bodies and continued towards the blacksmith building. Right when he walked up to the door, he gave it one swift kick with the bottom of his foot. The door snapped off of its hinges and flew to the other end of the room, splintering on impact with the wall. He walked inside and looked around. The building was dark, not a single candle was lit. The only light in the room was the moonlight from a small window above the doorway. Hammers, swords, spears, and many other weapons and tools were hung on the wall. They were all dusty and seemed as if they hadn’t been used for many years. The fire pit had become infested with cobwebs, and all the wood that may have been used within the pit had been reduced to ash. In general, it seemed as if the building hadn’t been inhabited in years. Seth gave a sigh of disappointment, he had been hoping that he could fight for his meal, and not have to feast upon the weak villagers that he had fought earlier.
Reluctantly, he turned and began to walk out of the building. Just as he reached the doorway, he was struck square in the back by something very heavy and was knocked onto the wood floor. Seth turned onto his back and looked up to see a large man with a scraggly brown beard brandishing a large hammer and glaring down with a look of deep hatred in his eyes. The man began to speak in a rough voice.
“So this is it? This is the power of the murderous, immortal vampires I’ve hear of? I was expecting to at least put up a fight. Nonetheless, it will still be enjoyable to sink this steak into your heart.”
The blacksmith held up a sharp wooden steak and placed it too Seth’s chest.
“Prepare to burn in Hell.”
The blacksmith raised his hammer, preparing to strike the steak. Just as the blacksmith began to swing down the hammer, Seth slid out from under the steak and got to his feet, right behind the blacksmith. The hammer came crashing down upon the wooden stake, shattering the wooden floor.
“Next time, actually hold me down,” said Seth.
Seth walked up to the blacksmith, who stood still in place. Seth opened his mouth and sunk his fangs into the blacksmiths neck. Instantly the warm blood began to pour into his mouth. The warmth spread throughout his body. All the aches and pains he had endured slowly began to fade away, and began to be replaced by newfound strength. Once the last drop of blood fell down Seth’s throat, he released his bite and the blacksmith, now absolutely pale, took one last breath, and died. Seth looked at the remains, his face showing no remorse.
“Yes, this is what I hoped for.” He thought to himself.
He, he gave the corpse a small kick and walked out of the building and walked back to the edge of the village. Once was at the edge, his father strode up to him, his mouth stained with blood and his nails dripping with the crimson liquid. He spoke in a pleased voice.
“I see you killed your share of the humans,” his father put his and on Seth’s shoulder. “You are growing stronger. Is there anything you wish to do before we move on to our new home?”
Seth turned and looked at the remains of the village. He began thinking to himself how the village might have been before they had come several months ago. He imagined how the villagers walked about doing their daily chores. He thought to how they may have smiled and greeted each other. He thought how the small children chased each other throughout the alleyways, giggling with joy. He didn’t know why, but it all felt strangely familiar to him. He gestured to one of his father’s servants. The servant obediently came to Seth. He was very short for a vampire, only up to Seth’s waist. Most of his hair was gone and he squinted his beady black eyes as if he had spent his whole life starting at the sun. He spoke in a small, high pitched voice.
“What do you ask of me… my prince?”
Seth pointed to the village.
“Burn it.” He said.

Chapter 2 if anybody cares. xp

Chapter 2
Of death and redemption

Seth sat on the side of the hill that the face of the castle overlooked. The temporary calmness that had overtook the vampires after their bloodbath had faded as they began to ferociously assault the heavy wood doors, the only thing in their way of claiming the castle as their home. Seth, still quite calm, gave a sigh as he watched the burning village slowly turn to ash. The heat of the blazing buildings could still be felt from where he sat. Seth turned himself to face the castle, to watch as his brothers and sisters hacked at the door’s strong metal hinges.
The vampires were no longer the pale, yet hauntingly beautiful beings that they were mere minutes ago. Their skin had turned to a dark gray and wrapped tightly around their bones and muscles, now resembling a corpse rather than a humanoid creature. The whites of their eyes had blackened, and their iris’s had shrunk into nothingness, only leaving a red dot that had once surrounded it, and their well groomed hair had become ragged and decayed. Now, as they savagely clawed at the door, they showed what they truly were.
“It won’t be long now.”
Seth looked up when his father spoke. He too had transformed into the beast that they all really were. All that is, but Seth. And just as Seth’s father had said, it wouldn’t take long. Moments after he had spoken those words, a deafening crack pierced the night air as one of the hinges snapped in half, a loud metallic clank following when it hit the stone steps below it.
At the moment the hinge hit the ground, the vampires roared with demented delight and gave one final blow to the door. And with that final blow, the door fell into the castles entry hall with a dull thud. The castles entry hall began to flood with vampires. Seth got to his feet once the vampires had finished flooding into the castle. Upon entering, Seth realized something was horribly wrong. Outside, he had seen the windows lit with candlelight. But now, all was black. A wave of confusion washed across the bloodthirsty vampires, turning all into silence.
A scent that was hauntingly familiar to Seth wafted under his nose. He sniffed the cold midnight air, trembling with fear as the scent was drawn into his nostrils. Seth’s eyes widened. His fears had been realized. They were here. Slayers.
Suddenly the castles darkness was banished as blinding light shot out from a dozen glowing crosses from every angle of the room. Seth and his fellow vampires screamed with pain as the light burned their flesh. The whistles of arrows cutting through the air joined the maelstrom of noise. The screams of the vampires only grew louder as the arrows pierced into their hearts. Seth, holding his face in his hands managed to stagger out of the light. But even as the pain of the light subsided, a new pain grew as he watched his brethren die right before his eyes. Seth looked up to see twelve humans standing on the rafters that surrounded the room, holding the crosses that burned his brethren, and the crossbows that had wrought the arrows that in an instant turned their world into nothingness. A feeling of hatred began to grow in his chest. Seth bared his fangs and prepared to lunge at one of the Slayers. Just as he was about to leave the ground and sink his teeth into the wretched Slayer’s flesh, Seth’s father leaped in front of him. Seth snarled with anger.
“Get out of my way father!”
Seth’s father didn’t move an inch.
“Get out of my way damn it!”
“Killing them is not your job here my son,” Seth’s father spoke quietly.
“Then what is my job!?” Seth roared with anger.
Seth’s father stood silent for a moment and then spoke.
“Your job is to stay alive.”
Without letting Seth get another word it, he leapt up to the rafters. Seth’s mind suddenly erupted with questions. His father had never denied him a fight, not even when they would almost surely take his life. Why now? Seth’s questions were knocked out of his mind as an arrow narrowly missed his head. He looked up and saw the man that had shot the arrow.
“I don’t care what Father says, you’re dead!” Seth spoke under his breath. Seth leapt up to the rafters, the slayer preoccupied with shooting at the panicking vampires below. Raised his claws and lunged at the Slayers neck. Premature satisfaction already began to fill pour into Seth’s chest. But it didn’t take long for that satisfaction to fade when Seth was stopped in his tracks.
The slayer turned to face the now terrified Seth, his eyes filled with glee. The slayers face was concealed by a crimson scarf, enveloping all but his piercing yellow eyes. Silver crucifixes were spread on his black tunic. The Slayer didn’t seem to be weighed down by the ornaments, or the many items that hung from his waist. Crossbow bolts, wooden steaks, vials of strange clear liquid, more silver crucifixes, keys, and many other items dangled like ornaments. But the one thing that stuck out from the rest was the sheathed rapier that hung from his waist.
Seth sidestepped the slayers sudden attack barely avoided being stabbed in the chest. The slayer had managed to draw his sword and stab in mere seconds, pushing Seth’s already remarkable reflexes’ to their limit. The slayer gave a grunt of frustration and swung his sword at Seth a second time. Without a moment to spare, Seth blocked the fatal blow with his claws. The two glared at each other as they pushed against each others weapons to gain the upper hand. Adrenalin began to flow in the two combatants veins, filling them with even more strength. Claws and sword still locked, the slayer moved his free hand to his belt. Seth gasped at the sight of the wooden steak in the slayers hand. The slayer swung the steak at Seth’s chest, determined to deliver the final blow. Out of desperation, Seth released one of his hands from the still possibly fatal sword and brought it in front of his chest. Seth roared in pain as the steak sunk into his hand, shattering bones and destroying muscles. Warm blood began to flow down his hand and fall to the floor.
Knowing that Seth was distracted by the pain, the slayer brought the sword away from Seth’s claws that were still blocking and prepared to deliver the blow that would end Seth’s life. Acknowledging the danger he was in, the pain in Seth’s hand subsided. Just as the sword was inches away from his neck, Seth leapt back towards a small door far at the end of the rafters.
Seth grabbed the steak still in embedded his left hand. Upon pulling it out, even more blood began to pour of the hole that had gone through both sides of his hand. Seth watched as the broken skin, muscles, the veins and arteries, and the bones began to regenerate and pull together. Soon, the hole in his hand had disappeared, only leaving a scar as a memento of the wound.
Seth looked towards the slayer. Seth was now more than forty feet away from him. Seth looked to his left to see as his father sunk his claws into a slayer’s chest. The slayer cried in agony as Seth’s father began to rip the man’s heart from his chest. It was over quickly. The remaining blood in the heart poured to the floor once in Seth’s father’s hand. The slayers screams had stopped; and his remains fell to the hard tile floor below, landing with a dull thud. Soon his corpse was lost amongst the flood of panicked vampires. Seth cringed at the gruesome sight, for he knew if he wasn’t careful, he could end up the same way.
It didn’t take long for that possibility too seem like reality. Two crossbow bolts flew at Seth and pinned his coats sleeves to the door behind him. Seth’s heart began to race as the slayer, crossbow in hand, drew closer. The slayer stopped a few inches in front of Seth. He chuckled Seth struggled to break free.
“Don’t even bother, by the time you manage to escape, your heart will be added to my collection,” the slayer said as he ran the wooden steak in his hand down Seth’s chest. The slayer raised the steak, preparing to strike.
Seth closed his eyes as the slayer swung the steak at his chest.
“This is it,” the thought to himself.
But nothing happened. He slowly opened his eyes, to find that his arms had been freed, and that his father had leapt in front of him, stopping the slayers blow.
“F-father, thank y-,” Seth’s words were cut off when he saw the wooden steak protruding from his father’s chest. Seth fell to his knees, his eyes wide with horror.
“Seth, the steak just missed my heart, I don’t have much time,” his father spoke weakly, wheezing between his words. Seth began to tremble.
“You must do exactly as I say my son. You must leave this place, go to our clan’s capital, and report my death,” Seth was at the brink of tears.
“But Father, I-”
Seth’s father turned his head to him, teardrops dripping down his face. “I said do exactly as I said! Now go!”
Seth’s heart felt as if it was about to burst. “Yes father,”
Seth got to his feet and closed his eyes. The sound of bones snapping and warping could be heard as the structure of Seth’s body began to warp. His fingers began to grow long and bony, his legs began to bend and become beastlike, and his ears grew longer. The whites of his eyes had turned into a pool of blackness, swallowing his red pupils. The back of his tunic began to tear as a pair of black, leathery wings protruded from his back. Preventing himself from looking at his father again, Seth leapt from the edge of the rafters and flapped his wings. He began to fly.
Once airborne, Seth saw the slayer that had tried to kill him was now several feet away from his father, out cold and face flat on the floor. Suddenly a volley of crossbow bolts flew at Seth. Struggling to dodge the bolts, Seth began to flap his wings harder and flew towards the stained glass windows at the other side of the room. Seth watched in dismay as his remaining brothers and sisters died and joined the sea of bodies. Seth, only inches away from the windows, braced himself for the impact. Seth crashed trough the window, shards of glass piercing his wings and his body. Seth began to furiously breathe in the cool midnight air, struggling to maintain flight. Quickly he began to descend.
Seth looked towards the horizon, only to see trees. It was going to be a painful landing. Suddenly Seth was in a storm of trees. The world began to turn into a spiraling whirlpool of snapping branches and leaves. It seemed like an eternity until Seth finally hit the ground. Seth felt the dew on the grass seep into his clothes as darkness enveloped him.

Darkness is something that was known to come after the sun would hide in the horizon, for me, darkness was a mild annoyance, for I was never too fond of candlelight at nights, you see, that would simply difficult my reading experience.

My name is Strauss Igniz Vecna, 13th descendant from the original Vecna Bloodline, a noble if you will, like my ancestors, I was born surrounded by riches beyond human understanding, with possibilites beyond human reach, and with influences beyond human control.

My time was wisely divided, I would say, hunting, reading, assisting to the theatre, opera sometimes, and being instructed into politics and diplomacy by my father, Frederick Argel Vecna, a well known diplomatic and member of Parliment.

Maybe it was a matter of fate, as a cruel joke from destiny, but my father had passed away due a strange illness, it was blood related, seemingly his blood could no longer sustain him, and there was no doctor on the entire country who would find a cure for my father, my mother would take care of the my brothers and sisters and seemingly, I'd have complete and total freedom to do anything I'd please, of course, I was rather young at that time, and I had no proper guidance, so of course, I took the wrong paths and took the wrong decisions, I lost most of the allies my father had, and gained enemies my father would have never imagined, I surrendered myself to the fauk plaisirs of alcohol and opium, and I let my mind drift away for entire days and its consequent nights, I was living a life that would satisfy my senses, but, would this life satisfy my soul? The obvious answer would be no, for I discovered that in only 10 years, several changes arrived to my life, my enemies were together as one, and directed an assault to the Vecna Mansion... They torched it to ashes, servants, horses, belongings... My mother tried frantically to save my brothers and sisters and instead, she lost her life, the few brothers and sisters of mine who survived, would be thrown inside the Mansion again, as my enemies would laugh at their torment, while waiting the end of the most horrible of deaths, my brothers and sisters would simply elevate a prayer to a God that would have never reply to them...

And where was I? Probably unconscious near the piers, with two hookers to my side, my hair being a mess and wearing the same outfit I've been wearing for the past 4 days... As I woke up, a strange feeling would dominate both my heart and my mind, the sun was rising in that very moment, a beautiful sunrise that would deliver happiness and tranquility to anyone contemplating it, but why would it bring me discomfort and worries to me instead? I decided to go back to the Vecna Manor as soon as I could possibly walk... Eventually, reaching my deadly destination...

What I saw there, was beyond words, it was so horrible, that not even a Dark Prince could have ever find the words to even try to paint the darkscape in front of me... The glorious 6 stories tall mansion, surrounded by the country's most beautiful trees was reduced to a pile of stone, rubble, wood and ashes... I thought I was still under the effect of opium, I thought it was because I woke up and stood up quite fast, but I couldn't believe what I saw... The Chief was already there, and prevented my approach to my own land "It is too awful son, please, stay away" at that time, they were carrying the bodies of my mother, brothers and sisters away from the ruins of the once glorious mansion...

What could I possibly do? Return to a low life scum pub and drink myself to sleep? Contact a dealer to get me more opium in the hopes of dying due an abuse on it? In mere hours, I had lost everything, and while my family would suffer the ultimate attack, I was simply... Drifting... What was there left for me? Nothing... Was there a reason to fight? A reason to do something, perhaps? Quite not... I simply walked away... I had no desires to talk, I had no desires to do anything, I had no desires to live... My prayers were heard.

He came to me one night I was standing alone on the pier, I was finally contemplating the idea of suicide, throwing myself to the cold waters and no one would notice, of course, in my beliefs, suicide would simply condemn my soul to eternal damnation and torment, and denying it the possibility of resurrection, but, did it matter? Of course it didn't, I've lost it all already, at least, the Vecna Bloodline would die with me... But just at the last second, he grabbed my arm, his satin coat would glow with an eerie light under the moonlight, black satin, golden ornaments, red eyes, black long hair falling on his shoulders, and a sinister grin, who was he? What was he? His hand was cold and pale, but it had a tremendous strength that could simply stop a thousand armies by just pure willpower.

"So, you despite life as it is, don't you? You wish to end with your suffering, yet, not dying in the process as well? Are you a coward for trying to end your own life without fighting any further, or a pioneer, trying to look for another way to overcome your own fears?" His name was Alexander Covenant, a man who spoke with the wisdom of thousands of years, but had the appearence of being under 30 years young "A chance" he said "I'm offering you a chance to find the answers to the questions that are already in your mind and in your soul, and the questions that will come... Is there a God? Am I cursed to wander alone n the world for eternity to come? I'm offering you the chance to live a life filled with immortality, a life in which it is irrelevant wether you drink or eat, a life that will preserve your beauty and strength with the essence of blood... You shall live forever, you shall rule over common men, and control them like puppets, you shall be the one pulling the strings"

24 hours I was given, "Appreciate the sunlight for the last time, if you accept my proposal, you will be forever covered with the tender caress of shadows... Should you refuse... I'll tear your throat with my own bare hands" as soon as the night died... Alexander disappeared, the sun appeared on the horizon, but there was something different... Something new... The sun seemed to be covered by blood, a Bloody Sun... And I spent the next hours thinking about my future... My fate... I had lost my family, I had lost my home... I had lost everything, and I certainly didn't want to die... As the sun died again, I walked to the pier alone... He was already there, with the same sinister grin on his face, then... He knew it... I wanted him to become my Sire, and he read my mind perfectly...

It's been 350 years since that happened... I'm standing now in a city... Called Durem... The clock behind me almost motions for midnight... And I'm looking down at the city lights... There's a target, just like my Sire had told me...

My name is Strauss Igniz Vecna, 13th descendant of the original Vecna Bloodline... I am also known as The Young Nobleman Of Sadness...
