Invite as many people as you can when you can.
I want this guild to reach the first page in the directory in, at the latest, 10 months.
So here's some helpful advice on what people like in guild invites.
People like to given reasons for invites. Don't leave invites blank.
Here's some advice on giving invites to newbs from the Welcome to Gaia forum: Just assume that they haven't joined a guild before. Mention that our guild can help them get a grasp on how Gaia runs and that there on nice people here. Try and make them feel as comfortable as possible without being pushy. Expect to get a few PM's after inviting a few newbs.
Getting PM's asking what the guild is about: Tell them that the guild is about the members. What the members want, they can surely find here. Here, decisions are made among the members with only suggestions from the captain. Here, we respect the members and do our best to satisfy their wants. But try and put that in your own words.
I'll add more on this later when more things come to mind.

So I thought I’d invite you to the Spiffiest guild on Gaia
We want more friendly people like you here.
