I came up with this a while back for a contest in one of my guilds...sadly, I didn't win...I don't think they appreciated it at all actually considering the insignificant amount of votes it received...it was either that or it just plain sucks...but, I'm of the opinion that they just didn't get it and I'm going to keep telling myself that no matter what. 3nodding

Anyways, here it is...Hope you guys enjoy it sweatdrop

One word repeating in his mind. Over and over and over. No, no, no. The faces...there are so many of them. No peace can be found no matter where he runs. Sweat begins to drip from his forehead, little beads of panic falling on the floor. Heart pounding, blood rushing, the sound of fear is deafening. Grabbing clumps of his hair, he pulls...harder and harder, trying to distract his mind from the reality of what was happening. It's not working. He pulls harder yet, struggling so valiantly. But the sound, as always, was still pounding in his head, in his chest, hell, down to his fingertips! There was no escape. This had to be done. Resistance was pointless, all it accomplished was a delay of what was to inevitably come. He felt a sharp, stinging pain and looked at his fists. Little strands of his hair jutting out of the crevices between his fingers. A startled, choking sound gurgled out of his mouth. Four words repeating in his mind. You can do this, you can do this, you can do this. They watched him fumbling, they sat there and they weren't leaving until this was done. Shaking, quivering hands reached out and took what they offered. The weapon of their choice. The thing looked twisted and evil. He could almost imagine it laughing at him in a voice that was so demented and unholy that the sound alone could summon up his darkest memories, his most disturbing thoughts. Quickly, before he could lose his nerve, he jabbed the thing's prongs into its new victim. And before he could do what they wanted him to do, he cried tears of anguish that poured out of his very soul. Inevitability had arrived and there was no running from this anymore. His whole body was trembling and with one fast move, he crammed the broccoli in his mouth, chewed enough so that he wouldn't choke, and swallowed the wretched stuff. The boy's parents smiled and asked a question that would forever taunt him. "See, now that wasn't so bad, was it?"
