I might get this game at Otakon.
The import version.
But it is beingtranslated in October.
What do you guys think?
I like the Wii.

You'd have to get a Japanese Wii or mod your own if you want a Japanese game. It's not a region-free system.
Plus, like you said, it's being released in the States and I think Europe soon anyway.
Might as well get the translated version, though I'm a fan of the Japanese games myself.

True, and I do agree with you on the voices.
But there's not much we can do about it.
If only Nintendo went through with Perrin Kaplan's plans of making the Wii a region-free system instead of having NoA and NoE (Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe, respectively) support regional lockout, we wouldn't be having this problem.

It's a fighting game so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out, the problem is wether or not it will work on an american system.

Sadly, it won't. Perrin Kaplan had originally stated that the system would be region-free, but Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe concurred that the console supports regional lockout, meaing it only plays region-specific games.

Since Bleach Wii is a Japanese game, it won't play on an American Wii. I'm disappointed with Nintendo's decision, but when you really think about it, it's probably for the best.

Can anybody find out if they're taking any characters out of the US release, I can't seem to find any information regarding any differences.

You're not alone; I've yet to find anything on the matter myself. I'll keep looking, though, and report back here as soon as I get the information.

Okay, so this isn't official, but this is what we can expect.

Taking into consideration the release dates of the manga (a new volume comes out every two months) and the release date of the game, we should expect to see a few things removed. Volume 21 and the game both come out in October, but the manga will probably just slightly cover the arrancar.

Then again, I'm not exactly sure what chapters introduce what characters. Seeing as how volume 22 (most likely being released in December) will feature Ulquiorra on the cover, we might get lucky and get to play as all the original characters after all.
