This is an area just north of the N.E.D.F. headquarters. It extends from a few miles north of the open canyon area where H.Q. floats all the way to the northern pole of the planet.
These lowlands are filled with thick forests of coniferous trees and woodland animals, while the northern region is constantly coated in a sheet of ice and snow, and the tree lines begin to give way to small open hills and valleys covered in white.
This are is home to many woodland creatures and animals, and many humans populate the forests in small towns and trading villages, however it is also populated by several Daemon tribes. Fish tribes populate all of the lakes, and several Canine tribes extend throughout the land. However, the area is mostly populated by a vast number of Reptilian tribes of every variety, and it is not uncommon for lost travelers and hikers to be attacked or even eaten by them.
Above all, this is the place that Z calls home. He wander the woods, doing as he pleases, no matter who gets in the way. His name is known by all throughout these lands and he is feared greatly by most.

Z wandered through the wilderness of the Northern Woodlands, continuing to appease himself by smashing things with his telekinesis. It hadn't yet gotten old to him, and he was laughing maniacally as he walked. he launched small critters high into the air, and threw a bear at random civilians several times over, cackling uncontrollably as the bear would occasionally catch one.
Looking overhead one day, he saw a ship passing by overhead, and saw the insignia on the side. "N.E.D.F." he thought, grinning. This was his chance to get their attention. He looked around the nearby area, looking for something big. He found a sizable 50 pound boulder and, picking it up from 30 feet away, said to himself, "Maybe this will get their attention."
He tossed the boulder in a line drive straight for the shuttle. It collided with one of the engines, causing an eruption that tore the ship apart, piece by piece. The explosion caused a massive bright light in the sky anyone 10 miles away would have to be blind not to see or hear.

Gazing to the ground far below, one could see absolute peace on the ground of the woods. Nothing was stirring, not a soul was to be found. A deer walked in between the trees slowly as it looked for some edible plants. It had finally found some food underneath a tall cone tree. As it bent its head down to nibble at some of the roots, a giant black blur struck the ground lightning fast. It was a massive black snake, and it caught the deer's body in its jaws. It yanked the dying animal back up to the top of the tree with its powerful jaws and began to feed.
The snake-creature dislocated it's jaws and began to force the deer into its gullet, head-first. After about five minutes, the snake had completely engulfed the deer and it was resting within his stomach, waiting to be digested. "Mmmm," he groaned in gluttonous satisfaction, "Deer meat really is the best."
"Flots!" another voice called from far below the black snake. A humanoid creature with greenish skin and yellow eyes called up to him. "Get down here! We'll be having company soon!" He turned and looked to the trees behind him, which stretch for miles until they fell out of sight. Something was wrong, but he wasn't entirely sure what.
Flots dropped out of the trees, landing on the ground with two feet as he shifted back into his humanoid form on the way down, now resembling his counterpart, only with blacker skin. "Christ, Jets, what's got your scales inside out?" truth be told, Flots was always the more brash of the pair. He liked a challenging fight as much as the next daemon, and he welcomed any danger. He'd have been dead a long time ago, however, if it weren't for his more sensible partner, Jets.
"I'm serious here." Jets replied, walking further away from Flots as he panned the area in his peripheral vision. He could see quite far off, though even he couldn't be sure just what was causing the trees to double over so violently. "I think," he began, still unsure of himself, "I think it could be him."
"Well, what the hell are we waiting for?" Flots replied. He jerked his head a little as he began to hack and wheeze. His mouth opened up wide as he hurled up a pile of bones, corroded with stomach acids. He wiped of his mouth as he grinned, "Let's go kill him..."

As he was strolling through the woods, Z could sense that predators were approaching. His ability to move the winds at will allowed him to quickly notice when something moved against it at high speeds, and he knew that several somethings were trying to surround him. He stopped completely, feeling the wind stop with him.
"I know you're there." he spoke to the trees. they silently whispered in the breeze, as if speaking back to him. "You have entered my home uninvited. For that you will die." he added, still motionless.
There were two of them. They were Serpentine; they had to be. It was almost impossible to track their movements, they were so slick. "Only a snake can move so silently." he continued, his fists clenched, "Let's see how well snakes can hide with no camouflage." and with that, he threw his hands high into the sky, palms open. In almost an instant, the weak branches and twigs snapped off the trees like toothpicks as they flew high into the air, taking every leaf and pine with them.
And there they were, two Serpent Daemons hiding in what used to be the foliage. One was green and the other black, startled as they realized they no longer had cover. "Only two, is it?" he inquired, turning to face them. "Such a pity, I was hoping for a challenge..."

Flots jumped down from the barren tree, reverting to humanoid form. "You idiot!" he growled in a loud voice, "Do you have any idea what you're up against?" He drew a knife from his belt. It glowed a dull green hue as he twirled it in between his fingers. "You are going to die today, little man." he grinned as he took a battle stance, his knife hand hiding behind his mid-section, "And then we are going to feast on your flesh!"
"Flots, maybe this isn't such a good idea..." Jets said he took a stand between Z and Flots, staring down his ally. "...I mean, we both know who he is, right? Maybe we should just get out of here."
Flots stood up again, angered by his compatriot's decision. "What are you doing, Jets? We have the upper hand here, he's outnumbered! He doesn't have a prayer and--"
Flots stopped when he saw it, a black aura amassing from behind his green partner. It grew quickly and, before Flots could get a word in, a black mass shot out of Jets' stomach and stuck in him like a lodged piece of wood. The black faded and became a hand, wrapped in a fingerless glove, and Jets' body sunk to the ground dead, revealing Z behind him with an outstretched hand. "You should have listened to your friend." Z spoke in a horrific voice that scared the living daylights out of Flots. He turned tail and ran, leaving his knife behind him.
"Where's he going?" Jets said as he watched his partner flee the scene, "Flots, what's wrong with you?" he said as he pursued the terrified daemon, leaving Z all alone once again. He had never actually moved, truth be told, and he wasn't in the mood for killing daemons, not anymore.
He sensed something off in the distance. A series of power signatures not unlike his own, but weaker. He recognized it instantly, "The humans!" he thought to himself as he took off into the forest. The trees and plants uprooted and swayed violently as he shot through them, soaring towards the minds he sensed through his underdeveloped telepathy. It would not be long now before he caught up with them...
