I repeat do NOT disclose your secret password to anyone.
I find that scammers are become more and more frequent.
Now there are PMs of phishing links and scams all over the place.
Here is an example of a phishing link.

BAD PM : Phishing
"Hi...
I was hoping you would check my avatar at the arena, and rate it? I’m running this week.
Here is the link (removed link)
If you don't want to, it's fine, I'll totally understand.
Thanks though n_n"

The removed link was a phishing link and what it does is sends you to a fake home page, where it'll say you're logged out. When you log back in, your username and password goes to the "hacker", per se, and well that's where we lose big time.
My friend got hit with this and she lost her pengies and ninja headband.
I warn you. These ones are dangerous.
If you get a suspicious PM, you want to click the button in the lower left of the screen that looks like this "
".
In the box you would write "Spam" or "harrasment".
There are also those gaians who impersonate a mod and ask for credentials and, to validify your account, your password.
Do NOT fall for that trick.
Each security warning clearly states that NO GAIAN MOD WILL EVER ASK FOR A PASSWORD.
You can also tell if a gaian is a mod based on the colour of his or her name.

Green - For all Gaia's Moderators. In addition, there will be a text title under their usernames that better explains what their role is and how they can help you. If you need help, people in green are the ones who can help you.
Orange - For Administrators. These are the ones who manage the forums and lead the moderation and member services teams.
Dark Brown - For names will be given to those who do art, coding, and other fun stuff for you. These are the people that talk about features and development.
Black - For all other members on Gaia. So if a black username tells you they are a moderator or admin, they aren't.
Members on your friends list will still be in Dark blue, and NPCs will continue to remain Red.

I am just warning you all.
Embeded and I got similar PMs from a guy by the name of "The Official Scanner".
He impersonated a Mod.
He said we'd have to submit our passwords or else be banned.
He used Faker Banners and Orange text to fool us.
But I figured out that he was not a Mod by his Black username and his wanting of our passwords.
We reported the PM.
BE AWARE THAT WHEN PEOPLE ASK FOR YOUR PASSWORD THEY CAN DO IT DIFFERENTLY!
There are PMs out there that say "Congrats. You've been promoted to be a beta tester for the new battle system, we'll need your password..."
And at the last phrase -need your password, you know you must report it.
There are PMs out there that say "I'm leaving gaia. You can have your choice of these items Pengies, Ninja HB, OMG... but I'll need your password to confirm your not a scammer or hacker... "
Don't fall for that one either.
There also PMs, like the one we got from Scanner dude, that'll threaten you, like "If you don't give me your password, your account will be permenantly banned or terminated..."
REPORT these as SCAM and HARASSMENT.
I know we're all a little worried about getting a scamming PM.
But we just got to know what to do with it.
And that is Report any suspicious behavior.
NEVER give your password out to a potential scam or hacker.
NEVER click on a link that you're unsure of.
And beware of the fake logout pages.
In situations where a fake logout page pops up you simply
click back on your browser and refresh the page.
"
"If you're still logged out, go to Gaia`s Homepage to make sure you're really logged out.
If you're still having trouble, send the password to your E-mail, ASAP, and retrieve your account.
Hopefully you don't have to get that far or desperate.
And when you report a PM make sure you have a valid reason for reporting it.
Remember, if you abuse the report forms, you may wind up in more trouble than the other person.
Fill it out simply and don't forget to hit submit.

Thank you all who paid attention and took heed.
I just want you to be aware of the new scams people are cooking up to try to get your items.
Also be aware of the fake logout pages, that is where I got hacked, when I didn't know it was possible.
