So, did anyone else have a happy gasm last night? >.<
Welp, unfortunately, I didn't go to the midnight showing. I AM however going today and...I think...next weekend with Stad, and then on my birthday. rofl
So, just post any opinions you have about the movie here and what-not.
(just another reminder, as of July 21st, I will not be online until I read DH)

Hm... not at all what I had in mind. And I was practically heartbroken by how short and blurry the flashback/memory was. sad It also was just barely like the book but that was to be expected.
I liked how they did Bellatrix though... And how Harry was about to lose control to Voldemort in the end (but only because it inspired me to write more crappy Remus fanfiction.) Righto, that was an interesting 2.5 hours. sweatdrop
At least I have the book to look forward to right?

You know, I'm not a big David Thewlis fan... at least not for him playing Remus. I thought he'd make an excellent Quirrel which is what he originally tried out for I think I mentioned. Anyways if this is who they'd picked for Remus: I wouldn't have put all my hopes into the memory. Does he look familiar? Probably not THAT familiar but maybe you can figure out who he is. biggrin Sorry, I mean, I've been looking forward to this scene since I read about it in the novel and they botched it. sad

He looks kinda like Ralph Fiennes... >.>"
But I'm definately the wrong person to quiz on actors. sweatdrop
I'm not too big of a David Thewlis fan either...or at least not for Remus. And I don't think I'll ever like Gary Oldman as Sirius. confused Not pretty enough. I mean, Sirius is supposed to be a hearthrob!

This is true... Of course if you watch Dracula from 1992 with Gary Oldman... well let's just say it'll make you laugh your head off because he's such a hippy! biggrin
Also very very filthy (not physically... wink ) And I feel like I've mentioned this before.
Yup, that's Ralph... Voldemort. It's amazing what special effects can do now-a-days. 3nodding

I disliked this one more than Goblet of Fire.
He would've made a good Remus, yes. But I am a David Thewlis fan. xd *loves Dragonheart*
Eh...I dunno. We can't change it now.
So, funny OotP story. ^_^ We saw it on Mokey's birthday with her, me, my cousin Brandon, his friend Jesse, and Mokey's BF (won't say his name because his mom doesn't like it being said online. rolleyes ). Now, Brandon knew Sirius was going to die, but not how. He hadn't read the book yet. So it gets to that scene (which is TERRIBLE by the way), and Sirius is pulled through the veil and has that stupid OMG expression on his face, and disappears.
Then Brandon loudly blurts out, "Are you serious?"
Mokey and I cracked up. We were so disruptive that day. ^_^ I don't think the other people in the theatre liked us too much...and I think I heard a sob somewhere when Sirius died.
Anyway...yeah, bad movie.

Even though this thread is kind of old I feel like talking about OotP.
I liked the movie it wasnt bad, wasnt really good either but not bad. Plus I love seeing Sirius and Harry. heart My two favorites. Also, despite me and my sister being about the only ones who think this, I think Sirius looked sexy in the movie.
I cried and I cried every time after that that I watched it again. Like it wasnt bad enough crying while reading.

As PoA is my favourite book, PoA was my favourite film for quite a while but i have been watching OotP soooo much lately and it has quickly made its way up to number 1 (although maybe when HBP comes out on dvd this may change D: ) despite me being very unimpressed with it when it was released in the cinema
Anyway something that made me smile and i wanted to point it out to you guys! When Harry first gets to Grimmauld Place he sees Molly in the door way and behind he manages to see Sirius and Remus right? You guys know what part of the film i am at??
What made me smile was the actors surely don't know about this pairing right, especially the adults?? Most haven't even read the books let alone know anything of the fandom...so it made me smile more. When Harry manages to see Sirius and Remus sat at the table behind Molly in the door way, Gary has his arm around David C:
