Look, I am not asking for random money donations, but I need to know where to get some in order to save 2 huge oak trees from being cut down. I live in the Detroit area of Michigan and am starting to research what I could do to try and save these trees. But time and money are not on my side.
I need $95,000.
It's pretty damn huge ammount for a fairly small lot. But I'm buying it from the builder himself. He does NOT want to sell the lot. I have yet to ask around my own neighborhood due to the fact that I only found this out minutes ago and need to discuss this with my parents (they will take my actions as a reflection on them). The reason I'm asking before I know how much I can gather together is because the less people need to donate, the more likely they are TO donate.
I don't know if I can manage to get the money. Even if I somehow manage to get the money, it may not be in time. But for the sake of something old and beautiful, I think it just may be worth a try.
If you know anyone involved in groups that might want to help out with this project, I would more than appreciate it.

 (This is the brownest I have ever seen this lawn. The builder is not taking care of it because he intedns to drive all over it anyways.)

Aww! Its so good that you want to save these tress.
As for money, I'm a jobless 16 year old, so I can't help on that end! rofl
But maybe you could concider doing commissions for real life money, or prints through deviant art?

At best that may only raise a few thousand dollars, though I have considered it! I may be able to make a dent in it, though! heart Arting alone, I would not be able to make the money in time.
Still, worth a shot.

Jewelschan I don't understand...isn't it their property? For 18 years - my entire life, I saw two elderly people clean that yard every day. They had to move when the old man got cancer and they found out he had only a short time to live. At the recomendation of the realestate agents, they sold the lot with the house to the builder's daughter. She sold him the lot and put the house back on the market. Now he wants more than double what the lot is worth to keep him from building htere.
