Gary loves Ash
That's right! I opened up the can of blood worms! It's time for the altimate choice:
Gary or Misty??
Pallet and Poke shippers have conflicted for a VERY long time over this. In fact, they are two of the most popular ships in the show, and this is most true when we look into the most popular ships revolving around Ash/Satoshi.
On either side, the hints are there, but none of which make either pairing cannon, sadly, but, hey, that's what we fans are for, right?
On one hand, you have the first girl who became Ash's friend and who seems to have a crush on him, to which he is oblivious to. On the other, a badass who's grown up with Ash, was probably friends with him, and was, for a couple seasons, Ash's ultimate motivation to complete his goals.
I haven't researched to much in the Poke Shipping business, myself being a Pallet Shipper at heart , but I do know that the hints between Ash and Misty are pretty much even with the hints for Ash and Gary. What it really comes down to is 'Do we want him with a girl or a boy?'. But now it's time for the ultimate discussion; Who do YOU, the dedicated Shippers, think should have Ash? Until the show decides to give us an answer, it's up to us!
I'll say this now, to keep peace: NO FIGHTING. I know this is a delicate mine field, but let's keep the peace, ya? ^^;

Well this is pretty simple for me to decide between.
Although Pokeshipping is a choice of mine for some. II still dont believe that its all that rational. I believe Ash and Misty make better brother and sister than they do couple. Now Gary on the other hand. Gary and Ash are soooooo good together. And its my second favorite ship.
If I had to share Gary with anyone, it would have to be Ash.. although my main ship is Ego. I have a ongoing competition with Mist. >__<

...Palletshipping for me! Though I do have certain a fondness for Egoshipping... Ash is pretty popular in this guild~ While Pokeshipping is purely a 4kids development, it's still popular. I'll read it if it's written well but I don't consider it one of my favorite shipping... more sis/bro too~
Ooooh, this reminds me of a fic I read years ago that was pretty good. It was about Richie meeting up at all three of them one at a time. Each one tells him that they they one is in love with the other (if that didn't make sense: Gary thinks Misty likes Ash, Ash thinks Misty likes Gary, but Misty thinks that Ash likes Gary.) I liked the story but what really bummed me out was that they never finished it. If anyone wants the link I'll go fish for it~

Well if thats the one. It started out being Pokeshippy. But as it progressed on it got more and more ego.

Yes. I do remember reading that fic, and dark it was.
Although, I wouldnt ever want her to convert. As Ego being my main ship. And almost exinct. >_< Maia's important to my ego community.

As I've said before, I really dont like Ash/Misty. Too antagonistic without any possible romantic spark.
Now, it's weird comparing it to Pallet, which is totally antagonistic as well. But Ash has known Gary longer, they have the Pokeball thing going for him and they have a more "teasing on the play ground" dynamic, where as Poke they just squabble.
I vote Pallet.
