The Blingmasta's Cubing Resources

Hey guys, I've compiled a list of various sites that I've found useful; This list is by no means comprehensive. If you find a site, please share it and I will add it to the list. This list is constantly growing. I have yet to organize this list + add more 2x2, 4x4, and 5x5 resources.

Beginner Resources:

Note: If you have any intention of getting faster times on the Rubik's Cube, I HIGHLY recommend you use one of the beginner methods listed below because it will save you a lot of hassle when you switch to a faster method. There are countless ways to solve a Rubik's cubes, but I recommend the methods listed below because they build the foundation for fast cubing.

Tyson Maos Video Tutorial: This is the place where I first learned how to solve a Rubik's cube. It's nice because there are videos, and its easy to understand. However, the main reason I recommend this site is because the beginner method he teaches lets you easily transition to a more advanced method. Tyson Mao is a great cuber and he one of the cubers who instructed Will Smith on cube solving in the Pursuit of Happyness.

Jasmine Lees Beginner Solution: This is another great site to learn how to solve a Rubik's cube. This is similar to Tyson Mao's solution w/ a few modifications. I like it because, like Tyson's solution, it is a stepping stone to more advanced methods.

Advanced Resources:

Note: Before you start learning these advanced (but much faster techniques) be sure you have mastered the beginner methods. Usually when you are under 1 minute 30 seconds you can start transitioning.

Jessica Fridrichs Site: The woman that invented the Fridrich method, definitely worth a look. However, her site is confusing and there are better places to learn how to solve the cube. Her algorithms suck, so if you are looking for algorithms, look elsewhere.

Lars Petruss Site: The site of the genius who invented the Petrus system. For those looking for a more intuitive method you should check this out. However, everyone should take a look. His site is really helpful.

Bob Burtons Site: This site is HIGHLY recommended if you are looking for algorithms. He has a FATTY list; It's really useful.

Jasas Cube Page: Great site for learning the f2l with nice animations.

Joels speedcubing site: This guy is fast, and his site contains a plethora of useful information. Also contains a REALLY useful tutorial on finger tricks.

Dans Cubestation: Great site w/ great tutorials (check out his cross tutorial, its great). Also has algs.

Chris Hardwicks site: Great stuff on this site, especially his 4x4 solution, extended cross, one handed and blindfold cubing resources.

Mackys Cubefreak website: Ah, Macky... Fast as hell. Great stuff and a lot of tips and algs.

Lars Vandenberghs Site: Havn't looked at this site much, but I've only heard good things about it.

Jess Bondes Site: Great stuff here, and nice videos too.

Gilles Site: Very creative stuff here, he even invented his own method for solving the cube.

Stefan Pochmanns Cube Corner: Home of the Pochmann blindfold method (my choice for blindfold solving). Very nice site.

Eriks Cube Site: A lot of great tutorials here, especially the 2x2 tutorials.

Speedcubing.com: Very useful info on records and stuff like that.

Rubiks.com: Can't forget the official site eh? It has some good resources and the diy cubes they sell are nice.

Speedcubing forum: Nice community here. Another place to talk about the best thing in the world... cubes.

Yahoo Cubing Group: Many people here to help you out if you need it.

Twisty Puzzles: A puzzle site; it has a nice forum too.

Cubesmith: Best. Stickers. Ever.

Youtube: Yeah, Youtube. Search cubing and you will find many videos that will help you out. You might even find me, I have a couple uploaded biggrin

When the rich wage war....
Could you catagorize them for people a little bit more, as in, which are for 3x3, 5x5, etc.
It's the poor that die.
