Name: Catherine Drayton Smith
Age: 22
Job: Bladesmith
Appearance: Catherine is a tall woman and heavily muscled from her years in the smithy. She has warm brown eyes, and neck length, curly black hair that she ties away from her face with a kerchief. Her complexion is ruddy from the fires of the forge, and while she works, she dresses in mens' trousers, covered with a leather, fire resistant apron. When not working, or out in public, she wears practical dresses with little or no adornment.
Personality: Catherine has a wonderful sense of humor, and is a naturally kind, and humble person. These protect her rather eccentric lifestyle, since women in her job are generally frowned upon. She approaches everything in the logical manner of someone used to dealing with dangerous items. Catherine very much loves her family, and at times feels guilty about involving them in her facade, but loves her work far too much to give it up.
Short story: Catherine, in her childhood, lived in Treehorn, and ran rampant through the village as only small children can. She was quite the tomboy up until her Mother, Madeline Smith, died. After that, she took care of herself and her Father. Unfortunately, her Father, Abraham Smith, came down with a wasting disease. Due to his mediocre skills in the Smithy, as well as his sickness, Abraham was unable to attract an apprentice to help him in his profession, so, having no other course of action, he began to teach Catherine the trade of the Blacksmith. In the black market of Treehorn, Catherine's growing skill at smithing, with blades in particular, went largely unnoticed by the authorities. She received no little criticism from her neighbors, however, and, upon Abraham's death, left her home to look for friendlier prospects, and an anonymous face for her blades.
Other details: Acinonyx plays Thomas Smith, Catherine's husband.
