Have you ever noticed that people have an obsession over Japan? But take a look at how other people((If this is not you ignore the attitude in this)) actually are obsessing over what Japan is in the anime, they think that Japan will be just like an Anime where everyone is happy and Japan is full fun and games, well for those people its not, it is just like the real world out there, sort of like America just different a tad, for those people, before you become heart broken Japan is NOT like an anime.Thats what I have to say.
Sorry if that sounded mean sweatdrop

Er, Yes...I'm pretty sure I know that Japan isn't going to be animated, and that people aren't going to have huge purple eyes :/
I don't want to go to Japan soley because it is the producer of anime...I think the culture is neat.
I want to go to a lot of places, just travel the world.
Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions, hmm?

] Agreed 3nodding I think most people do know that if they plan to go to Japan there will not be little animated characters running around, or monsters that appear out of nowhere...
But that's just my 2 cents I guess...

Hm. Well, why I want to go to Japan is to study. Sense I will become a mangaka, and most manga come from Japan, I thought I would find people who can teach me how to make manga or anime better. Im not really obsessing over it, I just one to go there for a couple reasons. But I really do enjoy the culture there, everything is also so high-tech, Desu~!

I want to go to Japan for the language, and that's it. Maybe buy friends some anime merchandise, because they like it a lot.
But yeah, most people think that everywhere you turn around in Japan, there's anime, manga, pocky, and 'kawaii!' things. Haha, no. It's just a regular country (Even though it's still awesome wink ).

I see your point. Japan being just like it is in manga is like saying america has flying super heros everywhere.

Well I could point out that in anime, Americans are portrayed as manly-looking people that always carry around guns and shoot them at the slightest provocation--and if that's not true, how can we assume that Japan is like it's portrayed in anime? Don't get me wrong, yeah, I'd love to have my own giant robot. But I know life doesn't work that way. In this universe.

I understand. But to me, the reason why I want to go there isn't because I think it's like that. I actually study on Japan when I was still lilttle and well you get the point.
