+__+ Story +__+

Corner street society has banned them, cast them out from the public eyes. Monsters they were called! How dare they! Elves, Vampire, Demons, and even Angels. Yes, all of them were cast from the tall gray buildings and cement covered ground, tossed away from the smoke filled skies. But now, as the exile comes around it's one hundredth year, all races grow tired of waiting for the human race to die out, they all grow ever so impatient with the waiting. Some have decided to over throw the city, while some have decided to sit back and let history take its course. Really, it's up to you.

|:::..:...::.|

Edra's soft voice whispered in the dark canopy of the trees, her blue eyes wearily scanning the ground, waiting ever so patiently for her prey. And then, she saw it. A small innocent deer wandering along the forest floor, in the blink of an eye, no, a fraction of that she sprung from the safety of her tree branch, pouncing heavily onto the creatures neck. It broke, letting go of a sickening crack as it did so. Edra, hauled the creature to the base of her home, her tree, and began to cut the poor beast open. An odd memory of her childhood crossing her mind, when she was very very young, how her people had been slaughtered in that dreadful human city. One more her blue eyes flicked around, only upwards this time, setting on the column of smoke rising from within the walls of the human city. With a sneer of disgust, Edra spat on the ground.

Iliana let her deep violet eyes scan the forested area. Idiotic humans she thought to herself. What right did they have to tell them that they didn't belong? After all they destroyed much more then they improved themselves. She tore her eyes away from the sight of the city with it's smoke filled skies and continued on her way. The wind caught her pale purple hair and sent it flying around her. Now the only question was where she was to sleep.

Flying through the trees at an amazing speed, Edra, the elf gave the appearance that she was flying. Her long black hair whipped dramatically behind her as she fled from the others behind her. Edra mentally cursed herself, that was what she got for leaving her post, not that she cared. Oops, tree branch.

Edra tumbled downwards, the ground approaching her fast, but of course, she did an amazing aireodynamic motion, landing on her feet, drawing fast the ebony staff that lay strapped to her back. It was only a few moments she realized, that she was alone. The other's had gone. Good enough for the dearest Edra. She'd had enough of elves, even though she was one. It had been only three years since the change, yet she felt so comforatble in her new skin. Ah, the life of a forest dweller. Edra's heart gave a nasty throb as she remembered, no, she wouldn't do this now. Not when she needed to be strong! May her memories be damned!

Edra's eyes scanned to the left, of course, she was right where she needed to be. Her small shelter made from old branches and leaves welcomed her as the fiery red sun set behind the smoke and smog of the city.

"Tomorrow I go. Ah, it comes so fast..." Her voice was soft, and kind, overly positive, somethign that she'd never been able to change. She was Edra, the kindhearted dark elf. Nothing could be done about that. No matter what change she went under, or what torturous methods of humans she underwent. Her personality was as unmovable as the human reign.

Iliana let her eyes watch the progress of the women who had darted gracefully through the trees. Well, gracefully until she hit the tree branch. The half demon smiled to herself. It was nice to see that even non human creatures could have human flaws at times.

Iliana had plenty of her own flaws. After all half of her was that damned and cursed thing they refered to as human. Not like the people in the city looked at her as one. Iliana didn't seem to mind though. If basing your life off of pre-judged values meant being human then she could do without.

The purple haired girl crossed her arms over the cool leather amterial of her top and leaned against a tree. She followed the women's progress into the home that she ad apparently made for herself. 'So there is a place to sleep around here after all' she thought.

Iliana had been opposed to laying herself to rest in the open branches of a tree. Although it was true that she would be able to sense the presence of danger miles away it would of still been foolish to leave herself so open. She pushed away from the tree brushing at nonexistint dirt on her skirt before she moved cautiously to the tree.

Light footsteps stopped just before the entrance. "Excuse me." Iliana called out in attempts to be polite. Her voice was soft and melodic now. At times it could become colder then the metal of the blade in her boots. That, however, wasn't the way to get what you needed.

Edra had heard the sound of boots before she even heard the woman's voice, so of course, Edra's reaction was a calm one, her six foot frame seaated gracefully in a chair, one leg crossed over another, ebony staff situated in her lap as she gave a small smile.

"Aye, might I be helping you stranger?" Edra's long black hair covered the faded pink colour of her clothing, her now bare feet tracing patterns in teh dirt floor.

Iliana looked at the women seemingly taking in her appearance. In a reality though she had been searching, listening, and feeling for the slightest hint of danger. When she didn't sense any she smiled a fake smile that almost turned out a sneer.

"You may." she said lightly. "I was wondering where one might find a place to stay in these woods that offers more cover then these slowly baring trees." Iliana looked at her nonchalantly, as though whether or not she got a place didn't matter.

In all reality she wouldn't need a place if it wasn't for those humans in the city.

|:::..:...::.|

Edra was tracing the shape of her ear, the long pointed ear that showed through her hair, Edra gave a tiny peaceful smile, her black eyes shining with a bit of malice. "I see. And your hoping I might be a kind hearted soul giving shelter to the night wanderer?" If one hadn't known Edra, they would assume that she was saying no, but it was quite the contrary. "Very well. You may stay."

Iliana returned the almost malicious look that the women had gave her with a smile. "Well you are my saviour." she said in a half sarcastic tone. She had hoped that women could point her somewhere. But, she supposed that this would suffice for the night. Even if she did hate company.

Edra nodded before silently slinging a pot of tea off the flames roaring in a tiny in ground fireplace. Pulling forth two small glasses she filled them, handing the calming drink to the woman, but decided against it and set it down on the table beside her. Edra, wasn't a fool, she of course had her soul covered under a thick mask of deception. She wasn't the weakling imp that she was pretending to be. But surely, just incase this woman was a hunter from the humans. She'd keep up the mask a little bit longer. If she was found, it'd be back to testing for her. And god knows she didn't want that. "Savior, pfft, hardly."

Vivian sighed as she walked around the forest, what was her problem. Not even her half wolf blood could help her with direction. She could'nt find her way back, dumb field-trip she thought if she had'nt diecied to go to prove to her mom that she could too fit in, she would'nt be in this mess. No, not dumb field-trip, dumb mom why did she have to rub inher face that she was loner. She heard some voices and turned to that direction, "at least I can hear well" she mumbled, and seeing the homish place she walked up "um... do you two know where I can get back to the city" she asked, thinking of the song 'Li'll Red Riding Hood' by Bowling for soup.
