Alright first off, I've been posting this on other forums to see other peoples opinions so if you see this anywhere else no I did not steal it. But, Here it is.
What if there is another world behind each mirror but instead of it being different its exactly the same including each event and everything so when you look in a mirror your looking at another you doing the same exact thing. But there are some things that could be offset in a different place that changes the course of the world ever so slightly. I'm not saying it resides in the mirror its just a window so when you shatter it your not killing millions of people just breaking that window. But, Back to the point I was getting at. When you change it ever so slightly the events like the girl turning around in the mirror staring back was creepy. But its also creepy on the other side because she sees another girl just like her still doing her own thing rather then being a reflection.
That also leads to my theory behind psychics. Perhaps they do know what happens in other worlds and can really tell the future from somehow meeting with there other selfs of worlds ahead in time from them. They know exactly what to say because each word that effects something she will know what will happen at that moment she wants to alter. And these "Psychics" can be good or bad depending who learned how to alter the worlds and talk with them self. But the bad psychics may make people get into a bad situation but the reason they don't corrupt the world is because they know it will turn out way to bad for there liking in the end. Also the good psychics will probably change the world so it doesn't die out like the others did. Ever notice that psychics never have mirrors out in the open. It may be because if they look in it the other-world self will be doing something else and won't be in there or doing something completely different.
Going back on altering the world. Mabey they figured out how to offset something that will slightly alter there world just barely away from the others which will cause a slight difference or lag in the events that reside in the mirror which eventually leads to pulling away from the same exact thing. Because doesn't it seem odd that there have been many chances to end the world as we know it but it was barely avoided at last second. Its probably because someone altered it just enough to save ourselves.
